Libtalkers, Bloggers Launch Second Smear Attack On Sean Hannity

SHIFTING TACTICS

New Lefty Effort To Bring Down Hannity Twists Words

Apparently conceding defeat
in their first effort to bring down Sean Hannity, libtalkers and Internet smear merchants have cooked up a new scheme, this time through the gross misrepresentation of a sarcastic remark.

Though Hannity was jokingly referring to recent criticism of conservatives, a point his audience at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley clearly understood, "progressives" twisted its meaning to suggest he was expressing sympathy for Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

The Fox News Channel host / syndicated talker was already under fire over a since-discredited claim of improprieties regarding charitable fundraising, allegations pushed heavily by far-left rival MSNBC.

In addition to leftist Internet smear sites, libtalkers almost immediately jumped on board the latest effort, with two (of many) examples captured here. Transcripts from yesterday's respective Mike Malloy and Ed Schultz radio shows are included below, in addition to a clip that combines both comments.

Note Malloy's reference to "violent thoughts" about Hannity- this has been a recurring theme and previous threatening language has been used against Dana Perino, Matt Drudge and others.

MIKE MALLOY (20:10): Hannity is a sick puppy, he really is, he - he's been drinking his own blood for probably 20 years. That's what these superstars in talk radio do, they drink their own blood.

This is what Beck is doing, Beck has done it for a while. Limbaugh - you can tell Limbaugh does it because, just look at him. But, uh - I don't know how to answer that. On the one hand, you have this domestic terrorist in - in Wichita who was sentenced to 50 years to life for murdering a physician; and the killer's [...] whole attitude was, I'm protecting unborn children.

And then you have a pig, a filthy, filthy pig like Hannity, saying something in praise of Timothy McVeigh - who murdered - how many kids were in the day care center, nineteen? Innocent little children, blown to pieces! I swear to god, being the father of a little child, um, when I heard that today, I just - I- I start thinking really truly violent thoughts about a piece of human waste like Sean Hannity, who is paid millions of dollars to say that kind of stuff, and in his spare time, rips off the families of dead soldiers and Marines; steals money from them! And if I say what I really think, see, you know, I could lose my right to broadcast, I really could!

ED SCHULTZ (45:19): This is Sean Hannity broadcasting remotely on his radio show the other day at the Reagan library. Here's what he said --

HANNITY: I think we won the debate.

UNIDENTIFIED SPEAKER: We did win the debate.

HANNITY: When you think of the vast majorities that they have in Congress, and they had to bribe, backroom deals, corruption. That's all because the tea party movement, the people, all these Tim McVeigh wannabes here, as they say. (applause)

SCHULTZ: All these Tim McVeigh wannabes here. And he gets a hand, a round of applause. Timothy McVeigh blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City, killed almost 200 people, and was put to death, executed. I mean, sometimes I think that broadcasters, we become so close to the story or so ideologically bent in one direction or another, we don't even realize what the heck we're saying.

Schultz is the MSNBC / syndicated radio host who's leading the effort to "socialize" talk radio. Cooking up examples of "extreme" rhetoric from the right helps build his "case" for a government takeover of the airwaves.

Another key objective: by booting Hannity and others from the stage, the left's longstanding desire to see Glenn Beck installed as "leader" of the conservative movement can finally be fulfilled.

  • Anyone who has been following the absurd claims of the Left about "extreme rhetoric" from the Right making for "another Oklahoma City" by "the next Tim McVeigh" can easily recognize that Hannity's words were a sarcastic jab at those making such claims, not advocating terrorism.

To claim otherwise is to admit that one is either mendally deficient or intellectually dishonest -- or simply a bald-faced liar.

By Anonymous Rhymes With Right, at 02 April, 2010 18:15

  • Obviously it was sarcasm, still Hannity is a pathological liar, Obama has not raised taxes at this point, and Obama has stood up to the enemy, and is effectively fighting terrorists in Pakistan, which conservatives ignore. Obama is almost a Republican, would not know it from the way retards like Hannity speak, and trust me I'm not an Obama supporter, just sayin'

BTW... people like Hannity are fading, the hottest conservatvie talk show right now on the radio is Scarborough, he destroyed Glen Beck in NYC ratings, top market in the country.... why? Morning Joe does a balanced, radio show, where he gives his conservative views with mostly liberal guests. People are tired of conservatives preaching as they are with retards like Malloy and Randi Rhodes as well.. Note our friend Maloney, has downed Morning Joe from day one, now his showe is the fastest rising in ratings.

Notice how Brian Maloney never mentions Joe Scarborough anymore... lolol

Morning Joe is the future of talk radio. Live with it. Thank g@d, i have had it with cons and libs mindlessly spewing one sided crap

  • It was SOOO obvious that Hannity was being ironic. Talkers like him and Beck and Limbaugh have mockingly referred to their fans as "right wing extremists" for awhile now - a clear play on Obama's Homeland Security's report. The fact that every lib talker (from Schulz to Malloy to Press) dishonestly used this to attack Hannity (who I'm no fan of) speaks volumes about their desperation. Truly pathetic.

  • Leftists are dumb. Fatboy Schultz is dumber than most.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 01:02

  • Joe who???

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 06:39

  • Morning Joe is actually not doing that well, in affiliates or total listeners.

It sounds to me like the audio of a TV show. No callers, constant book plugs, and the guest hosts are a total turn off to the core listeners.

  • Here is the copy of the transcript posted in this story. See how Schultz twists the words. Take special notice of what he leaves off, i.e., The phrase, "as they say". "They" is referring to those who criticize the Tea Partiers. "They" is referring to the majority in congress, "they" is referring to the birbers and back-room dealers, in other words, the Democrats. It is not Hannity praising McVeigh. It is the leftists who are characterizing the Tea Partiers as McVeigh types, not Hannity. When you don't have a legitimate argument, you make up one as these two leftwing radio talkers are doing in this dialogue. Wake up guys. Don't be taken in by a lie. Now read the transcript again in context of the comment and the discussion that Hannity is having...

HANNITY: When you think of the vast majorities that they have in Congress, and they had to bribe, backroom deals, corruption. That's all because the tea party movement, the people, all these Tim McVeigh wannabes here, as they say. (applause)

Now here is the leftist response, and quite offensive, I might add. Notice he leaves off "as they say".

SCHULTZ: All these Tim McVeigh wannabes here. And he gets a hand, a round of applause. Timothy McVeigh blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City, killed almost 200 people, and was put to death, executed. I mean, sometimes I think that broadcasters, we become so close to the story or so ideologically bent in one direction or another, we don't even realize what the heck we're saying...

Exactly, you don't know "what the heck" you are saying. If you, Mr. Schultz, and you Mr. Maloney, would just listen to those you oppose, and stop making up what you want them to say, maybe you would have more cred. But I won't be holding my breath waiting for that. Amazing.

  • Seriously?

"Obama has not raised taxes at this point"?

    Seriously?

    "Obama is almost a Republican"?

    Seriously?

There is someone on the planet who actually believes these two statements?????

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 15:47

  • to radiotruth - you've got to get out more. you are obviously a product of this country's failed govt. school system - decades of indoctrination...down the tubes.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 15:51

  • I don't normally leave comments, but you can tell radio truth is just a liberal being paid to post comments. His comments start out "Obviously it was sarcasm, still Hannity is a pathological liar," and then he goes on to defend Obama. Seriously? And they say conservative grass roots are astroturf...Give me a break.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 15:52

  • I'm having trouble believing that radiotruth is an intellectually honest person. This guy voted for Obama or he wouldn't be so uptight about Rush and Hannity blasting Obama.

Joe Scarborough's show has no audience. Only a fool believes he is some hot ticket. Beck's nowhere near Rush and Hannity on radio in terms of audience so even if Scarborough is able to "beat" Beck in the very liberal NYC, he has not gone up against Rush or Hannity or LEvin or any consistent conservative on the radio dial and won in the ratings. :)

By Anonymous Dr. Tesla, at 03 April, 2010 16:04

  • >Obama has not raised taxes at this point

Not true. One of the first bills he signed after taking office was the S-CHIP expansion which included a what? That's right... a tax increase on cigarettes.

Remember the good ole 'health reform' bill he signed? Guess what was hiding in there as well? That's right... more taxes on things like tanning, medical devices, 'Cadillac' insurance polices... just to name a few things.

So where exactly are you getting your 'facts' that he has not raised taxes 'at this point'? Or are you just going to ignore the increased cigarette tax as it's voluntary (people choose to be smokers)... and that the tanning tax (and others from the HCR bill) haven't actually gone into effect... yet?

  • Mike Malloy, Ed Schultz, these guys would kill for half the ratings Hannity has daily. These two together can't make a rational, logical thought. When the last people leave MSNBC and CNN, please don't forget to turn out the lights.

By Blogger Unknown, at 03 April, 2010 16:22

  • That's another great example of the Left manufacturing nickels again. Malloy and Schultz are damn lucky that the folks on the Right don't subscribe to McVeigh tactics because those two could easily find themselves as a target. Civility and social mores will save the lives of these Progressive moron mouthpieces.

  • Hannity: "That's all because the tea party movement, the people, all these Tim McVeigh wannabes here, as they say."

So who is "they?" Is it the tea party-ers comparing themselves to terrorists or is it the Democrats comparing the tea party-ers to terrorists?

  • Mike Malloy tries to make a case that Sean Hannity supports Timothy Mcveigh. No one argues that McVeigh was a cold-blooded murderer and his deeds were indefensible. However Liberals like Mike Malloy support abortionists who have killed over 40 million children compared to McVeighs 19.Who are the most grevious killers?Who are the gross hipocrites?Obviously the liberals.

  • The left media get enraged when their Alinsky tactics ( in this case ridicule) are used by the non left. Sean should also have said klansmen wantabees - the teaparty protesters were essentially called kkk members by a democrat house member recently. Steve Cohen said "all that was missing were the robes and hoods"
Clearly the left are playing the race card for the umpteenth time even if they have to lie about the circumstances. Kind of reminds me of global warming. Because the left's philosophy is based on lies, more lies is what I expect.

  • “Obama has not raised taxes at this point”
    radiotruth,

    Bull!
You can have your own opinion but ya can’t have your own facts.
Obama raised the Fed tax on cigarettes on Feb, 5 2009.

Don’t care if you agree with the tax or not, that is irrelevant to the topic of did Obama raise ANY Federal tax.

    Obama tax pledge

"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

    “not any of your taxes”

He raise the Federal Tax on cigarettes, that is undeniable, and yes he broke his solemn pledge not to raise ANY Federal Tax.

    Federal Cigarette Tax Going Up
    February 05, 2009

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama signed legislation Wednesday to more than double the federal cigarette.

    Go away lefty idiots

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03 April, 2010 20:14

  • Its really appaling how people on the right claim that hannity theft of the troops is a smear tactic. Debbie Shlussel is an independant conservative just like me. She has no alligance to anyone and she has the facts on her side. I've really been sickened by the rights immediate defense of vannity its like you people haven't even read her article or their tax returns. I thought when you had the facts on your side you win. Not when it comes to a fox news host there is no criticizing them tolerated. Its pathetic and disgusting all of you fake conservatives should be ashamed of yourselves. Keep promoting fake patriots who rake in millions of dollars for reading a teleprompter and I'll stick with independants who are honest. You idiots will probably elect us another rino like mccain or bush. Two of vannitys heros. Yea a real conservative there for ya. What a joke!

  • Radiotruth...you are as dumb as a box of rocks. Nothing (except the first four words you typed) is true, and is really some of the dumbest "commentary" I've ever seen, as well as totally untrue. Obama raised tobaco taxes. Who are the smokers in this country...the ones who make over $250k/year? That's a small tax. He just signed the largest tax increase ever into law (health care). I'll be taxed $15-20k/year from now on (or face a fine and jail time). And how do you think the trillions he is spending on all the democrat pet projects is going to be paid for? Taxes. Who pays when Banks are taxed? Do you think bankers take the money out of their personal accounts and send it to the IRS? No, they raise rates on every service they can, which means the grandmother who survives on SSI payments is taxed for having a checking account. Liberals never think through their feel good ideas. How about the new mileage standards set for auto? Who will pay for that? Folks who buy cars...even folks who make less than $250k/year will pay. The increase amounts to a tax as it is to satisfy an Obama ordered program. But you leftists dont care how much the people have to pay for anything...you just want the govt to have more power over our daily lives (calorie counts in restaurant menus...OMG...do you need the govt to wipe your butt for you too?)

  • Hannity is detroying libtalk ratings. BTW I hope Mike's child gets brain cancer and dies screaming. hahahah

  • Radiotruth is, apparently, suffering narcolepsy and stumbling around in the dark blathering incomprehensible mutterings in his unconscious misery. Basic lesson in civics in order here. Preposterous.

  • Schultz is a moron. If you are a lefty and you listen to this guy without listening to the context and direction of Hannity then you deserve to be counted with him. I don't say something, myself, without listening to the message on both sides. Desperation and distortion are obviously integral to schultz's message. Some how he became damaged goods and holds a personal vendetta. Stretching logic to the breaking point is a desperate measure of a child. Rational, logical fact filled reasoning is the mark of a thinking person. Schultz demonstrates none of that.

By Blogger Peter Four, at 04 April, 2010 04:55

  • Hey, radioliar, I've got news for ya...

    1. Scarredburro the fastest rising in the talk radio ratings? HE'S NOT EVEN IN THE TOP 100! Even Ed Sgt. Schultz is doing better than he is! Sorry, but Glenn Beck is the fastest rising star in talk radio, having finally passed Michael "I'M THE ONLY REAL CONSERVATIVE (Ok, Jerry Brown, here's your donation) ON THE RADIO, DAMMIT!" Savage (much to Mr. Maloney's chagrin, I'm certain...)

    2. If Obambi is so effective in fighting terrorists, then why have his own generals recently admitted that the Taliban has regained momentum in both Pakistan and Afghanistan?

    3. Speaking of pathological liars, the health care monstrosity immediately raises a large number of taxes (READ THE DAMN BILL, RADIOLIAR!) Obambi is allowing Bush's tax cuts to expire. If you or your favorite retard Scarredburro had functioning brains, you could see that these are TAX INCREASES.
