Rosie O'Donnell, Guest Use Show To Push State Takeover Of Industry

RED ROSIE

O'Donnell, Actor Guest Make Case For Communism In America

*** ELSEWHERE: Mark Levin On Unions, Arizona Immigration Law ***

Feeling nostalgic for the bad old days of the Soviet Union? Then look no further than XM Sirius Satellite Radio, where Rosie O'Donnell and friends utilize a lifestyle channel to promote hard-line Red propaganda.

Together with Comrade Euan Morton, yesterday's show extolled the wonders of a truly utopian society, where adults share possessions the same way children let others play with their toys.

Morton is an actor best known for his role in the ill-fated Boy George musical Taboo. He's also the son-in-law of Richard Armitage. The musical was produced by O'Donnell.

And yes, the C-word (communism) was actually used in this discussion, so don't blame your Radio Equalizer. From yesterday's Rosie Radio:

EUAN MORTON (1:18:56): This is a ridiculous idea, 'cause we don't live in a utopian, what's the word, communist society, but wouldn't you just love to have the federal government and I know people talk about big government and all the rest of it, it's just nonsense, I'd love to have the federal government take over the oil companies, use the money to give our children free education, and then in the future we can educate our children to start doing things like solar power, wind power--

O'DONNELL: Exactly.

MORTON: I don't know why it's not being done, it's plainly obvious. It's screaing out for someone. This is a Biblical age we are living in. The problems are massive. Volcanoes stopping flights. These are huge problems that we're now facing. Rather than having it pour into the ocean for 41 days, another two months to drill another well to top it off, we have to have a way of making the kind of sea change that we need to make in the self-proclaimed leader of the free world--

O'DONNELL: James Carville said the best thing. He said Obama needs to come down here and tell BP, 'I'm your daddy, I am takin' it over', but they haven't been able to do it [...]

MORTON: [...] It's frightening that we can go off in the world and spread our 'democracy' -- I did air quotes there -- and yet here in our own country we can't rescue our own people, that we can't look after our own people. We can't give them education, we can't afford to give them health care, but we can go over there and spend billions of dollars a week doing what we're doing in Afghanistan, in Iraq and soon to be North Korea, in Iran, with Israel. We are spending money, so much money abroad and leaving ourselves destitute. It's frightening, it's really frightening.

O'DONNELL: I totally agree. It is terrifying.

MORTON: I was talking to someone in a bar recently and he was giving me this 'Obama's fantastic, and it's changing the world'. And ultimately, he's better than Bush. You could put a carrot as the president and it'd be better than Bush, but [Obama] it's just another man, a figurehead at the top of a system which is fundamentally broken and doesn't work and unless we make massive changes, it won't matter who's the president.

O'DONNELL: Unless he's able to really muster up the courage to say I'm gonna be as long term as, maybe one term but you know what I'm doing? I'm ending Don't Ask Don't Tell right now and I'm signing an executive order and I'm taking over the BP oil spill, like, boom, boom, boom. Someone has to do it.

MORTON: Someone has to do it. Someone has to make big, brave decisions. And you know what, it might not be great for a lot of people in the country, and there'll be fear and there'll be doubt, but there's already fear and doubt anyway. We're living in a system where every day we wake up to orange level, red level...

Yes, in the strange world of Rosie & Pals, Obama's forced takeover of America's system of capitalism and democracy is proceeding at a pace that's simply too slow. Too bad Stalin and Lenin aren't around to provide the proper guidance.

  • Here is something to remember boys & girls, SOCIALISM IS FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE SOCIALIST. Tokyo Rosie is a perfect example of this, she wants you to submit to gov't & give up things you want in your life, but she should be exempted from those rules. She loves gun bans, but has armed body guards, that sort of thing.

Rosie is a typical liberal/progressive/socialist, she loves money, wealth, & all that comes with that, but hates capitalism. This fat pig has made millions as an entertainer, & now she has her own XM/Sirius channel, but is stupid enough to want some form of communism. What an idiot, & what's funny is that she won't even consider that.

  • The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money.

  • I agree with danyboy said....

  • Why doesn't BP just stuff O'Donnell in the pipe and kill two birds (er, pigs) with one stone???

  • Scary isn't it? To think that there are people in this country who think that the President has the power to nationalize a company or an industry with the stroke of a pen. Or worse yet, think that he should have that power.

  • Uhh... has anyone bothered to point out yet that BP stands for British Petroleum. Portions of it used to owned by the British government if I remember right.

I suppose we could seize the American portions such as Arco, but we can't just seize a company that isn't even American.

  • When they spend all of your money what then are you going to do to stay alive? Are they going to spend these two idiots' money equally? Well, when people quit producing because it isn't worth the effort, who's going to produce the money? Stupid and ugly are exactly the same - to the bone. Two of the top qualifiers right here.

  • While Pres. Reagan was a GREAT Pres. I think he was truly unique as an actor who switched to politics and these "artistic" types, actors, actresses, are missing something in their right frontal lobes that allows them to think in logical terms regarding government and economics. In other words, all those in Hollywood and beyond, shut up!!!! You are lemmings in waiting.

  • I think this is a banner (red banner) idea. Everybody who's travelled the world knows that the governments of the former Soviet Union, Eastern European communist states, and the People's Republic of China were and are fantastic stewards of the environment.

The real model state, of course, is the People's Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea). I've travelled to North Korea a few times and let me tell you -- thanks to the near-total collapse of industrial activity there the skies are crystal clear. At night, unobstructed by light pollution since the cities are completely dark, one can pick out all the stars and the Milky Way. It's nearly a paradise.

Never mind that the hills have been picked clean by desperate beggars looking for firewood and bark to eat, or that any stray dog or child faces a real risk of being caught to be eaten. Those people are free of private oil-company oppression and the depredations of private profit. I think Rosie O'Donnell ought to go check it out.

  • If we suddenly went commie, Rosie would be shot. Right away.

  • Why not take over Rosie's profits from her TV shows, books etc and use that money assets to educate kids, In fact, take over Hollywood's profits and use that money for helping others. After all, these Hollywood types are an idealistic bunch and this would really put their money where their mouth is.

  • Morton said: "I'd love to have the federal government take over the oil companies, use the money to give our children free education, and then in the future we can educate our children to start doing things like solar power, wind power"

    O'DONNELL Answers: "Exactly"

I've got a better idea ladies. Rosie - why not I just take all of your money from you? I know you worked hard for it and YOU earned it but I feel I need it more than you and I think I should get it. I'm not working myself but I'm gonna get some kind of job ASAP.

Right now I'm holding out for an executive position so it may take some time before I go back to work. But - until then go ahead and cut and mail me a check, or better yet just send cash.

Now please hurry up and get that "pay" in the mail. I wouldn't want to have to apply for welfare instead. That would be degrading.

    Thanks Comrade Rosie

  • the reason obama has not taken over the bp oil spill is neither he nor any of his people have a clue as to what to do other than rant and they dont want the responsibility..this is the basic issue with all of these people..they want the goodies but none of the responsibility..especially obama

  • There are still Communist "Utopia"s in existence, you too idiots, so why don't you both pack your bags and go live in one of those countries? Leave our democracy for the people who appreciate it. Listening to these two ass-hats is the best laugh I've had in a while!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04 June, 2010 12:07

  • Yeah, I can't believe the Obama government has sent us into such debt and is spending all of our money. Why can't he be more like the Bush Administration who left office with a surplus! Oh wait, that was Clinton. Hang on, someone's telling me something...Oh, Bush left office with the highest debt in America's history on top of the worst recession in history. Dang. I could have sworn that Obama did all that. Well, it is still his fault because Bush spent all the money, so he should just completely shut down all the branches of the government until we have money again. No more police, schools, military, firemen, courts, or infrastructure building. Not a single thing until the government has money again. Oh, but I hate paying taxes, and since that is the only way the government can raise funds, they'll just have to shut down forever. Phew. Problem solved, Republicans! We're obviously all so smart that it is amazing we didn't win the 2008 election. Oh well. Viva Palin!
