'BEAMING'

Rhodes Boasts Of 'On-Air Chemistry' With CNN's Dobbs

In a mass e-mail sent to listeners, Randi Rhodes just couldn't wait to brag about her recent CNN appearance with Lou Dobbs:

RANDI ON LOU DOBBS

Randi's debut on Lou Dobbs showers viewers with truth, intelligence and can't-miss chemistry between the The Dobbs and our Randi.

And, according to one insider who contacted us, Randi's been "beaming" ever since the CNN studio visit!

Hey, why shouldn't she, given that:

--- During the 10-minute segment, Dobbs didn't challenge a single point she made. That included her insane revelation that moving stem-cell research to Mexico could help solve our illegal immigration crisis!

--- In addition, he allowed Rhodes to dominate the discussion, at the expense of the other two guests.

--- For once, she managed to look reasonably put together, rather than exhibiting the bizarre, probably unintentional Courtney Love impression usually seen in the past.

Her ill-fated C-SPAN fiasco with conservative commentator Janet Parshall comes to mind.

After watching the CNN segment, the Radio Equalizer was left wondering more about Dobbs than Rhodes, with the cable host not a previous target here.

While there's nothing wrong with a bit of good "chemistry", why the blatant rear-end kissing of guests like Rhodes?

Was he simply having a bit of an off night?

  • Again Brian: Rhodes was being SARCASTIC with the stem cell R&D to mexico suggestion. To play it off as an actual policy position is disingenuous.

  • Brian, Brian, Brian...

For a few moments there, it looked as if you were actually interested in fact-based investigative reporting...

But you return so quickly to the tabloid snark.

And here I thought there was hope for you...

This is insanely petty of you.

  • this is off topic, but too good to wait for you to bring up the subject again....

with as much as you people on here like to say how Air America is so bad that they have to pay affiliates to carry their programming, why don't you ever bring up the fact that Westwood One had to pay $300,000 to get bill o'reilly on the air in New York, and they paid $200,000 to get him on the air in DC.

try and spin that. PLEASE!! i would LOVE to see how you can spin that.

  • B.M. :

Every country in the world will have a better stem cell research program than the US after Bush gets finished doing his business. No doubt that big pharma will have branch locations in Mexico to work around theocratic restrictions found in our own country.

Randi's sister died of cancer at 42. She ended up raising her niece as her own child.

Do you not think Rhodes at least ponders the topic of medical research every day of her life?

Do you not think that she worries about genetic influences on cancer and the possibilities of stem cell research to extend life?

Oh yeah, I forgot, the wingnuts like to deal with End Times. Both Ends, that is. The time before you are born and the time after you are born. Everything in between does not matter except for the pursuit of the dollar and preparation for the Rhapsody.
