Randi Rhodes, The Big Encyclopedia Of Republican Hypocrites

WHERE'S THE BOOK?

Randi's 'Hypocrites' Disappears Before Release

One of the more peculiar developments in the ongoing Air America Radio saga has been the apparent shelving of the first book by libtalker Randi Rhodes. Just what has become of The Big Encyclopedia Of Republican Hypocrites?

After the release date was repeatedly pushed back, it appeared Hypocrites might finally emerge in time for the holiday season.

Now, however, there's no sign of it at Amazon.com, where it has been deleted entirely from their non- fiction section.

Deepening the mystery, searching under the book's ISBN number (1401352480) also reveals little, other than this information from Answers.com:

So what gives? Did Randi finish the book or not? Did she simply realize that there are just as many hypocrites in the Democrat Party as anywhere else in politics?

Or, did her pampered lifestyle at Air America contribute to a general inability to get things done?

Only one unverified (and probably outdated) hint has emerged that might answer our question, via Wikipedia:

The Big Encyclopedia of Republican Hypocrites, 2006, (ISBN 1-4013-5248-0) (to be released August 30). While the book was supposed to have been released by the end of August, Randi has stated on her show that she was unable to finish it due to all the findings making her sick to her stomach.

If that's the real reason, it's a truly weak excuse, one that doesn't bode well for her post- AAR career. Was she forced to return the advance? Would anyone take a chance on her again?

  • Randi will land a job quickly in radio, anytime, don't worry Maloney, you should be more concerned with the mentally sick hate monger Michael Savage, a disgrace to broadcast media.

  • I wouldn't piss on that book if was under the Air America holiday Christmas tree...

    I'd leave it to Randi.

  • Hey, Strawman - Shouldn't you at least be ON the air before talking smack about knocking someone OFF the air?

Well, it's nice to know your little podcast is still going off without a glitch.

Who knows: Maybe if indieairplay.com would actually acknowledge your presence on its website, you'd get two or three additional listeners. Perhaps then you woudln't feel the need to linkwhore here...

  • Savage and Ingraham, what common, lowlife anti-Americans.

  • When Randi Rhodes calls someone a real American, it actually means something.

When Sean Hannity calls you a "great American", he's just trying to sell you another new car...

  • Bf, you said:

"What part of "Sick or not, if you're paid to do a job and don't do it, where does the money go?" don't you understand?"

I suggest you remember that phrase at Bush's impeachment hearings....

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 November, 2006 00:25

  • >>Ingraham

I don't agree with all of her positions on the issues, but she's
    fair, well-educated; supports the troops
and visited them in Iraq; is a breast
cancer survivor; does an entertaining and funny show, and unlike Rhodes,
she doesn't "joke" about killing the President. Oh, and some best-selling books too (like Shut Up and Sing)

By Blogger raccoonradio, at 28 November, 2006 04:11

  • Ingraham is terrible. She tried to interfere with the midterm elections by getting her synchophants to jam the help lines!

The "cancer" routine was a total sham, as was her religious conversion to Catholicism, as evidenced by her contributions to publications like the Jewish World Review, etc.

Her on-air voice resembles that of a bored, snotnosed 1960s-era Bell telephone operator...even former Batchelor-show "Islamoterror" neocon obsessives switched her off in disgust, en masse.

OJ Simpson's new book would have probably been a bestseller as well, had it come to fruition. Whatever meaningful sales numbers she managed to achieve were brought about by neocon-coordinated "promotional" deals, were unsold books are purchased for free distribution at lodges, evangelical churches, shuls, government-supported community centers, think tanks, military installations, and...RIGHT-WING TALK SHOW HOSTS!!

If Mark Foley were to have a copy of "Ann The Man" Coulter's doorstop propping open his bedroom door, does that make it a literary masterpiece?

Laura Ingraham needs to shut up and suck.

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 November, 2006 08:46

  • Oh, and raccoon, you know who else supported and entertained the troops?

    Several times?

    Al Franken.

  • J.D.
We are working on our own URL, which will link to indieairplay.com. We link here, because radio listeners read this, it's free and to Maloney's credit, he unlike Mr. Sniffen does not ban posts. We link all over the place on other blogs as well. Indieairplay/nextbighit has no input on the show, and is busy with other projects

By Blogger Minister of Propaganda, at 28 November, 2006 09:22

  • MOP, I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to check your program out yet.

I definitely intend to listen in, as soon as I am able!

Best of luck on your show.

You seem of clean heart, and very well-informed about what really is going on in the world.

    I appreciate your participation here.

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 November, 2006 09:58

  • The "cancer" routine was a total sham

Source, please? I tried to find a source supporting this, but the only thing I found was your last comment making the same accusation.

as was her religious conversion to Catholicism, as evidenced by her contributions to publications like the Jewish World Review, etc.

From Wikipedia: "It carries dozens of syndicated columns written mostly-although not exclusively-by conservative writers, both Jewish and Gentile."

So, the fact that she writes for it doesn't belie her Catholicism.

And by the way, you were the one who brought up Ms. Ingraham...so what, exactly, does she have to do with the inability of Randi Rhodes to finish a book?

By Blogger Snowed In, at 28 November, 2006 10:26

  • Snowjob, who else (besides Brian Maloney) even said anything about Randi being UNABLE to finish her book?

Has anyone verified the terms of her contract with her editor?

Writers will take a hiatus from an ongoing project, and do all the time!

As for Ingraham, raccoon made several worshipful statements regarding her public image and behavior that I chose to take exception to, having heard strong and convincing contradictions to the opposite.

Had Ingraham simply exhorted her followers to interfere with the election process, is that not bad enough for you?

Incidentally, if Ingraham continues to write and express opinions that contradict the teachings and writings of her faith, unless she has received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Penance and has repented of her transgressions, it's entirely possible that she has not been in a state of grace and, therefore, not a communicant of the Church, and any statements regarding her faith and principles should be considered as such by the religious.

    Again, they are HYPOCRITES!

The Church (in fact, virtually every mainstream church) has a definite antiwar position regarding Iraq. That is what makes it relevant.

And this is the same internal crisis of identity that most neocon talk show hosts must grapple with.

Her choices have just been more particularly irreconcilable, that's all.

  • Hash

The radio show for me is not a way to become famous or even make a career out of it, my friend and I do it, because we want to make people aware, and even if 2 people are inspired to change their view or become aware, we feel like we did our job. The strangest thing about doing internet radio is how many of our listeners are from over seas, countries like Costa Rica, Ecuador, Australia, Norway!! These people are more aware of American politics and more interested than Americans. We are astonished by the over seas reaction. Check it out, if you ever have the time. Thanks

  • >>The "cancer" routine was a total sham

Excuse me?? You're accusing her of
faking it? Maybe Savage is right:
    (extreme) liberalism is a mental
    disorder--or at least any convenient
    conspiracy theory will do when
you can't face facts. Why don't you go into a hospital and speak to some
    breast cancer patients and tell
    them they're faking it, you
    wonderful compassionate liberal...

By Blogger raccoonradio, at 28 November, 2006 13:27

  • Yawn.

What a bunch of pathetic suckers you are...

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 November, 2006 13:42

  • Racoon;

michael Savage is a mentally ill person. After listening to the hatred, anger and insanity in his voice, he has no place calling anyo0ne mentally i0ll. He recently said "progressives beheind closed doors, hate catholics, Jews , all straights and the troops". He is a paranoid, delusional, freak, who thinks the "purple gay hand" is out to0 get you?! The man does not belong on the public airwaves, except maybe on public access television. He is the lowest of the low, an embarassment to radio. Racoon, once you quote the man, you erase all credility forever.
As far as Ingram, she broke the law on election eve by encouraging phone bank jamming, she should be yanked 0ff the air. No standards apply to right wingers

By Blogger Minister of Propaganda, at 28 November, 2006 14:32

  • Snowjob,

It's amazing how little one has to do to set you off. I asked questions and disputed your so-called facts, and you immediately jump to name-calling.

who else (besides Brian Maloney) even said anything about Randi being UNABLE to finish her book?

Did you even read Brian's article? Per Wikipedia, which he quotes, she did!

And raccoonradio was not the first person to mention Ms. Ingraham in this topic, you were. What raccoonradio says in comments to other posts doesn't matter here.

And I have not said one word either way regarding her alleged "election fraud". Did she cause her listeners to interfere with a help line? Possibly. Is that a crime? Possibly. Is it election fraud? Of course it isn't.

if Ingraham continues to write and express opinions that contradict the teachings and writings of her faith

    Source, please? With quotes, maybe?

The Church (in fact, virtually every mainstream church) has a definite antiwar position regarding Iraq. That is what makes it relevant.

To what, exactly? Not so much to the original topic. (And I could argue whether "virtually every mainstream church" is antiwar, but that's a bit too far off-topic

You never answered my other question.

By Blogger Snowed In, at 28 November, 2006 15:03

  • If I may raccoonradio:

    "Maybe Savage is right:
    (extreme) liberalism is a mental
    disorder--or at least any convenient
    conspiracy theory will do when
    you can't face facts."

MAYBE?! Liberalism is beyond that-it's a stage 5 Cancer pardon my words that is BEYOND ANY CURE! As would be explained by the "thoughts" of hash and MOP and other "progessives" (Want to just barf) on this board.

"Why don't you go into a hospital and speak to some breast cancer patients and tell them they're faking it, you wonderful compassionate liberal..."

Same could go for people with Autism raccoon, like myself. One day I try to tell my boss, a black, liberal feminist about my condition--AND SHE TELLS ME TO ZIP IT!

Now if this was for interfering with my job at the time--an NPR Radio Station mind you--then I see the point. But for anything else, well I should've sued those bastards! If anything, I felt used at WEDW-FM. Then again, how was I supposed to know that in 1995 I would be dealing with something I have had since birth?

This job I got through an internship during my indoctrination days at UPRCT-Stan. I had two choices in my major of Communications, WEDW-FM was one, WICC Bridgeport was the other.

Yes in case you're wondering why did WSTC/WNLK (d/b/a Fairfield County News Radio at the time) not offer anything? Guess their owners at the time Capstar put the bottom line ahead of the community.

Well, given she who must be obeyed (mother) has a deep fear of Bridgeport, the roads and well basically life overall outside of the house I live in, the de-facto; default choice was WEDW-FM. Looking back I should've gone to Bridgeport and told the old lady in no uncertain terms BITE ME!

I wanted to show some independence and wanted to go to WICC in Bridgeport. Sure it's a drive, but it gets me out of the house and out of the Lexus Liberals and Cadillac Commie community that is Greenwich, LFC (Lower Fairfield County).

  • Fake Patriotworld

America rejected your sick agenda. You support "conservatism", yet can't explain a single thing you stand for, and why you accept criminals in the White house. If you support the Bush agenda, you support WAR PROFITEERING, which was ILLEGAL during WORLD WAR 2. You either HATE America, or you are plain stupid. I make you sick becauseIi speak the truth. The Bush administration are CRIMINALS, the media is complict to this sick agenda, and right wing talk show hosts are sick hatefull bigots.
Again, America REJECTED YOUR sick agenda. Blame the imaginary "liberal media", blame the imaginary "welfare mothers", blame the "purple hand of gay", hell explain it away like your fellow insane right wing pundits do, "the Republicans really won in November". Go ahead. 70% of this country, thinks the ditto-head movement is an anti-American, profit driven, fear and hate driven agenda. PAtriots all over america have rejected you. Not even with the help of a complist right wing media, were you sick freaks capable of brainwashing America once more. America rejected CONSERVATISM.
You are mentally ill, Savage is mentally ill, Hannity is a barely literate, Limbaugh is a drug addled pig, Ingram is a criminal, Glen Beck is a bigot, Drudge is a creep who defends pedophilia, Gallagher is a man with an IQ of a snail, Prager is a zionist, the RIGHT WING and their tired mouthpieces lost their spell on the American people. It is over.
Crawl back to your little bunker, watch out the "gays and muslims" are comming to get you!!! They will make your children gay, and convert you to Islam. Boo!!!!!!!!!!

I take pride in saying I'm glad I make you SICK. As a matter of fact, I hope my posts make you vomit and lose sleep.

America is smarter than the GOP and the complict big business news media thinks we are.

the 2 Boston stations running Air
America & Prog talk may be dumping the format on Friday whether or not a buyer is found for the network. (the
source being someone at Clear Channel). Lower ratings than even
Kerry got in that Quinnipiac poll
    (#20 out of 20 candidates...)
