Al Gore III Drug Bust, Rush Limbaugh, Hulk Hogan, Mark Green

GORE JR'S DEEP DOO-DOO

Plus: Other Holiday Odds & Ends

After blasting "pill- popping conservatives" for a number of years, lefties had better cook up some quick excuses for Al Gore's son.

Pulled over for speeds reaching 100 miles per hour, Al Gore III was arrested early this morning in Southern California, according to the AP. It's not his first offense:

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - Al Gore’s son was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs after deputies pulled him over for speeding, authorities said.

Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over at about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.

The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said.

"He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs," Amormino said.
Gore was being held in the men’s central jail in Santa Ana on $20,000 bail.

Kalee Kreider, a spokeswoman for his parents, did not immediately return phone messages to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The son of the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee also was pulled over and arrested for pot possession in December 2003, in Bethesda, Md., while he was a student at Harvard University.

Given his surname, no doubt he'll be turned into a victim who "just needs help", while addicted conservatives (even after treatment and recovery) face endless ridicule.

Either that, or the mainstream media will bury this story. As always, the Gore family will be protected.

For whatever crazy reason, Hulk Hogan wants Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher to get along. Why?

From Page Six:

July 4, 2007 -- WRESTLING legend Hulk Hogan wants to unite America by bringing together famously feuding pairs. Hogan has signed on to be the spokesperson for something called, "The Official Uniting Towel Wave of America," according to his agent, Darren Prince. Hogan will "pair up six personalities who have not seen eye-to-eye over the years and have them reunite next year on July 4, 2008 in Freedom, Pennsylvania, while thousands of people wave towels simultaneously," Prince said.

The slogan of the bizarre campaign is, "If these two can unite for our country, don't you think we all can." Hogan will try to get Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher to make up as well as Rosie O'Donnell and her former co-star on "The View," Elisabeth Hasselbeck. All proceeds from towel sales and sponsorship of the drive, which kicks off in September, will be split up to go to each celebrity participant's charity.

Did Rush Limbaugh convince Bush to pardon Scooter Libby? That's what the Boston Examiner believes:

Conspiracy theorists, listen up! On Monday’s “Rush Limbaugh Show,” the conservative talk show host implored President Bush to pardon Scooter Libby. “Everything in this case is just senseless,” Limbaugh said. “There was never any
crime. We knew who made the original leak about what’s-her-name. It’s unbelievable.” Then Limbaugh rendered his verdict: “It’s time for this pardon. It just really is. ... I don’t see how it could lower his standing in the polls.”

Mere hours later, Bush commutes Scooter Libby’s sentence. Was he tuned into Rush’s EIB Network up in Kennebunkport? You be the judge.

Who knew the San Francisco Examiner could become a nationwide newspaper? The world is full of surprises.

Howard Dean (caught helping to burglarize Burlington VT country
club)...and yes, the Bush twins etc.
What kind of mileage (and what is
the carbon offset) does a Prius get at 100 mph?

  • mmmmmmm liberal media all over Gore's son, shockingly the same lib media buried this story...........

Jeb Bush's daughter charged with prescription fraud

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) --The daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was arrested early Tuesday after she allegedly tried to fill a false prescription at a Tallahassee, Florida, pharmacy, police said.

Police arrested Noelle Bush, 24, at about 1:15 a.m. EST at a Walgreens drugstore and charged her with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance, a jail spokesman said. Police said she was attempting to pick up Xanax, a sedative used to treat anxiety disorder. The drug can make users feel drowsy and dizzy as it reduces nervousness and tension.

However, Xanax also is growing in popularity in the club drug scene, where it is used as a "parachute drug" taken to reduce the impact of the drug ecstasy, said Joe Kilmer of Drug Enforcement Administration's Miami office.

Bush was released pending a court appearance.

According to the police report, she told one of the officers she was due to begin a new job Tuesday morning with Infinity Software Development, Inc.

A statement from the company said Bush was to begin a job as an entry-level human resources administrative assistant.

"Due to personal circumstances, she was unable to begin her job. Infinity's job offer still stands and will be waiting when she is available to return to the workforce," said the statement from Infinity CEO Tom Lynch. "My thoughts and prayers are with the Bush family."

Fraudulently obtaining a prescription is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, said Leon County State Attorney William Meggs.

But Meggs said that Bush is unlikely to face jail time.

"The most likely course in this case is probation or drug court," Meggs said. If Bush is sent to drug court, he said, she most likely would be placed in a rehabilitation program or in counseling with drug testing. Later she probably would be ordered to complete community service.

The governor and his wife, Columba, released a statement following the arrest.

"Columba and I are deeply saddened over an incident that occurred last night involving our daughter Noelle," the statement said.

"This is a very serious problem. Unfortunately, substance abuse is an issue confronting many families across our nation," the statement said. "We ask the public and the media to respect our family's privacy during this difficult time so that we can help our daughter. We will have no further comment on this issue. Thank you for your understanding."

The governor spoke to reporters about a separate issue at a Tuesday afternoon press conference. No questions were asked about his daughter.

The pharmacist said he became suspicious about the call-in prescription because it lacked a quantity, according to the police report. When he tried to check with the doctor named in the call-in, the druggist learned that the doctor no longer practiced and that the prescription was probably fraudulent, the report said.

When a woman came to the drive-through to pick up the prescription, the pharmacist notified police, who arrested her, the police report said.

Police said that Noelle Bush admitted that the prescription's call-back number for the doctor is a second line in her home.

Noelle is Jeb and Columba Bush's only daughter. They have two sons, George and Jeb Jr. Noelle is the niece of President Bush.

This story appeared 1 time on page 30 for 1 day, Gore is all over the press, television. Interesting the president's brother has a daughter with a huge drug problem? Not news?

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ahhhhhhhhh, that liberal media?

By Blogger Unknown, at 05 July, 2007 16:46

  • The truth is, I'd have much higher hopes for the Gore kid to make a recovery than I would for Limbaugh, simply because of the different approaches to problem-solving that liberals use. Liberals tend to admit and accept there is a problem, and work proactively to resolve it, whereas conservatives, who are about appearances, waste time in denial and then adopt useless "toughlove" approaches toward dealings with their addicted loved one, which really is just laziness and a refusal to be bothered with the actual situation.

I've pointed out repeatedly on this blog how Brian's refusal to see Rush's sickness, respond to the fact that Rush has never been held to any accountability for his actions, and cope with the baggage this brings to our society as symptomatic of the shallow emptiness and bankruptcy of conservatism, but somehow, propping up a dead man walking as representative of a failed ideology seems more important. If that's how conservatives treat an American they revere, what do you imagine they have in mind for the Americans they despise?

Is there a difference between a spoiled child of privilege and an state-subsidized leader of a personality cult finding himself in
    this situation? Not really.

Is an opiate addict speeding down a roadway at 100 mph a situation that needs to be dealt with? Absolutely.

Is a wealthy, older single man, flying off to a Caribbean island known as a haven for underaged male prostitution, with scores of Viagra tablets, receiving a total pass, a problem for society? You betcha..

Is sending your maid out to score opiates for you, leaving her ass flapping in the wind, while you blame the choices you've made and your willingness to flout the law on an old injury, a fundamental lack of morals, a failure to take personal responsibility for bad choices, an American, non-partisan breakdown across the board?

Of course! It's a question of how Democrat and Republican partisans cope with them, and which is more harmful.....the drugs themselves do not discriminate.

  • Hulk Hogan's loopiness was a waste of space here. Pro wrestling has issues of much more serious concern at this point.

    By Blogger Everett W., at 06 July, 2007 06:46

  • Gore ought to go to jail and have to kick the habit cold turkey like anyone else arrested in the same circumstances.

Hogan is just looking for some pub for his show. Even John Force's "Driving Force" gets better ratings, and his daughters look better, too.

  • "Gore ought to go to jail and have to kick the habit cold turkey like anyone else arrested in the same circumstances."

    You mean like Rush Limbaugh?

    TWICE??

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 06 July, 2007 16:21

  • Al Gore not even know how control his son,how he going to manage such a big country if he get chance? This would fade away when another controversy hits on the newspaper.
It is a nice try from Hulk, hope for the best to happen.
