Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) Bathroom Flap, Talk Radio
WAS LARRY WIRETAPPED?
Libtalker Claims Bush Out To Get GOP As Well
By now, it should be clear to all that the GOP and its wildly- disillusioned conservative base are tired of weird scandals related to disgusting personal behavior. There's little doubt these flaps are hurting the party and those on the political right.
That's why Republicans are pushing Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) to resign as soon as possible, which may occur as early as today. With important races right around the corner, the party doesn't have time to deal with this sort of rubbish, does it?
Unfortunately, that creates a big problem for the "progressive" spin machine, which now must invent a way to sustain the topic beyond the point at which Craig stands down.
And if President Bush can somehow be implicated in this mess, all the better. But how?
As usual, that's where libtalker Randi Rhodes comes into the picture. When it's time to find clever new ways to bash Bush, nobody does it better than Air America's most notorious moonbat.
And sure enough, she didn't disappoint during yesterday's broadcast, accusing Bush of bringing down Craig in order to send a message to wayward Republicans in Congress. Astonishingly, Randi's guest, Newsweek Senior White House Correspondent Richard Wolffe, raised no objection to this crazy rant (not that it is terribly easy to get a word in edgewise):
Hey Randi, thanks for managing to muddle what otherwise might have been a clear victory for your "progressive" cause. Nice to see the left degenerate into their own version of the "black helicopters" crowd the right was forced to deal with during the Clinton Administration.

RHODES: (30 August 2007, hour one, segment three, referring to Larry Craig) ...yeah, and this guy has been implicated before. And what’s really interesting about Larry Craig is that not only has he been involved in stuff before, like in 1982, and then there was a big, giant scandal about young underage boys being brought into the Reagan – Bush White House in ’89, and the media was successfully intimidated by the White House then, it seems like nothing has changed, Republicans… (unclear phrase).
You know, I get calls from people who’ve surmised that, this warrantless wiretapping was wiretapping not just against war protesters and people the Bush Administration found inconvenient, but against political opponents of every stripe and some people are starting to believe that the reason why Larry Craig was finally exposed, if you will (laughs), is because the administration is trying to send a message to other Republicans, because the list is long, that we will ruin your life, ruin your career, look at what we just did to your friend Larry Craig, we’ll do it to you too, we’ve got the goods on you, we wiretapped you.

sounds to me, she was laughing at the theory, as I watched it myself, she did not say Bush did it, she said some of her callers said it.
another example of right wing hackery to the extreme!
You lied about what Randi Rhodes saif, the same Randi Rhodes, who demolished the pig man freak in Florida ratings, when she was local, the same Randi Rhodes, who Rush was terrified to be opposed on opposite stations, because of her ratings destroying Rush (when she was local in I believe West palm Beach). Now of corse if Randi Rhodes was one 5000 stations like the disgusting, vile Limbaugh, she would destroy Rush in every market, as Randi is funny and entertaining, and Rush has not been funny nor entertaining since 1989.
This is an obvious attack on a host, who has superior skills and entertainment value than your hero, the heartless, demonic, vile freak Limbaugh.
Moonbat, hardly, she never accused the Bush freak of doing it. can you read, or is lying a way of life for you? Anyway, dont count on Rush helping your career. Rush he busy banging hookers.
Neve forget Limbaugh was laughing at Katrina victims, NEVER forget it. If there is a Hell, Limbaugh will be dwelling in the inner circle for thousands of years, it there is reincarnation, Limbaugh will be a mosquito in the after life. A blood sucking degenrate.
As far as Craig, I personally feel he was a victim of entrapment by the police but this is also KARMA
craig
1. Vehemently against civil unions of gays
2. opposed to making it illegal to discriminate against gays in the work place.
its KARMA
he is a disgusting hypocrite, of corse MSM ignores the hypocracy, and focus on the gay sex cruise. It is not the issue, the issue is HYPOCRACY.
Normally I would defend a guy like Craig, who was a victim of stalinist police tatics, but in this case, what goes around comes around. Karma

Randi: ...and then there was a big, giant scandal about young underage boys being brought into the Reagan – Bush White House in ’89, ....
Yo, toots? Was that the first two weeks in January, 1989? Of course not.
FAIL.
PS: Hiya, MoPee! Glad to see you're still off your meds... don't ever change, baby!

Yo, toots? Was that the first two weeks in January, 1989? Of course not.
huh?
what does that mean, it happened during the Reagan term indeed, covered in 1988
http://www.thelawparty.org/FranklinCoverup/franklin.htm
check it out, of corse the mainstream media freaked out blacked out the entire story, and made Discovery channel pull a special on it. Reagan was still president in 1988..... so what are you saying?
Randi made a mistake, the scandal was in 1988.
So it happened in 1988. Reagan was president in 1988.
Rhodes meantto say 1988, when the sex ring took place. Read it yourself...

MOP, pay no mind. I love it when neocon partisan knuckleheads THINK they've found themselves some revealing fact, that turns out to be completely irrelevant to the facts on the ground...yet they consider this a REBUTTAL.
Feel no guilt, MOP. We advised them to clean up their backyards...little do they know they COULDN'T, if they tried...
Randi has more of a head on her shoulders, more heart and more soul than any of Brian's lackeys put together....never forget that.
Always remember this when the times get tough!
As always, MOP, thanks for posting here!

Sooo, let me see if I understand you liberals. If a homosexual espouses family values, he is a hypocrite. Do you mean that homosexuals aren't supposed to have family values?
Once again, a Republican is brought down by allegations. Meanwhile, Barney Frank, who fixed traffic tickets for a lover who was running a gay prostitution business out of Frank's apartment, is still in the Senate and as arrogant as ever.
Yeah, that's fair.
By Lone Ranger, at 01 September, 2007 03:56
Barney Frank, in fact, (correctly) booted his visitor out of his home when he learned what the guy was up to.
Craig, on the other hand, lied in order to evade justice, traded favors, and, when all else failed, tried to turn it around to seem as though being gay was a dreaded thing.
Yeah, I'd say Barney Frank has a stronger sense of what is right and wrong than Craig does at this point.
This whole little "controversial" episode was designed by the neocons to keep sheeples' tongues wagging through the holiday weekend.
Betcha Cheney starts trying to sell his plans to kill Iranian citizens first thing next week.

MoPee: " "Randi made a mistake, the scandal was in 1988."
Which was my point, you blithering idiot. She's so messed in the head she can't keep her facts (or a calendar) straight before she starts to berate.
THAT was all I called her on; go ahead, re-read it. Sound the words out if they don't make sense to that raisin-sized brain of yours.
I didn't call her any names; I called into question her understanding of the historical timeline.
Like your fellow "ignore the actual words" wingman hash, if you want to make stuff up about what I actually wrote in my comment, be my guest...
just, please, stay off your meds, MoPee.
You'd be no fun sober and sane.

First , it's obvious you don't understand. It's entirely possible for a homosexual to espouse "family values". It's just not possible to live them when, for appearances purposes, you are living a heterosexual life, while at the same time you are sneaking around having extramarital sex (in this case gay sex). You see it's not the fact that the extramarital sex happened to be gay sex, the fact that he had ANY extramarital sex would make him a "family values" hypocrite.
I think it would be possible for a gay politician, in a committed relationship, to espouse life-long committment. This, to me, is what "family values" is all about.
In the interest of fact-checking. Lone Ranger, Barney Frank is not now, nor has he ever been a U.S. Senator. Regarding Republicans being brought down by ethical scandals, many continued to serve after their lapses were made public. Henry Hyde, Dan Burton, Newt Gingrinch, Rudy Giuliani, and our the latest example David "diapers" Vitter.
Regarding the correct date of the Reagan-Bush underage boys scandal, it's true the events took place in mid 1988, but the coverage of it did not occur until mid 1989. I can see how one would associate it with 1989, since it wasn't exposed until that point.

"just, please, stay off your meds, MoPee."
What kind of "meds" do YOU take to believe what YOU believe, TC?
If you'd sought help, regarding your untreated paranoia and psychosis that resulted from the 9/11 occurrences, we wouldn't need to be having this conversation right now (and MY nation would be a helluva lot healthier right now)...
You don't even see the tragic irony of some of the little barbs you hurl at others....
By hashfanatic, at 01 September, 2007 17:42
oh, hashie, just admit it: you FAILED at figuring out how to run a website of your own because you, by your own words, are too stupid to put a thought together that wasn't in response to an adult to writing something down first.

"Barney Frank, in fact, (correctly) booted his visitor out of his home when he learned what the guy was up to."
No, he kicked his chippie to the curb when he got found out. Implying Barney knew nothing before it went public means Barney Frank was a blind-eyed idiot, too concentrated on 'getting a taste' while his chippie was whoring in Barney's space.
By Unknown, at 02 September, 2007 12:15
You don't own a thing you haven't stolen outright, not even the shanty you live in.
"Barney Frank was a blind-eyed idiot..."
Waaah, waaah, waaah. Stop slandering your betters and go figure out what jersey to wear to Hannity's "freedom concert"...
Maybe Sliwa'll let you be HIS best chippie for the day...
