In the video, filmed this weekend at a book signing in Huntington, N.Y., producer Jesse Watters asks O'Donnell why she won't return phone calls from The O'Reilly Factor, which is trying to secure her as a guest on the program.
"We've called you 100 times," Watters says on the tape. O'Donnell's reply: "If Bill wants me, he should tell me himself. He is a big boy. He is a grown-up."
O'Reilly, 58, has loudly criticized O'Donnell, 45, for what he considers her reprehensible views about the 9/11 attacks on America. In the video, Watters tells O'Donnell: "Rosie, he wants to know if you regret saying that 9/11 was an inside job?"O'Donnell shoots back: "I did not say that. He is quoting the wrong people."
She then repeatedly asks a colleague of Watters' to put down his camera, and the pair are eventually moved away from her.
"Sir, you're done," she calls after Watters. "Get out of the store. You made your point, you have your tape, go home. Skip home happily."

Brian, you should read some of the comments on BOTH videos. I just may have stumbled on the relatives of some of those who post their Anti-American bilge water on this site. And you know who I am referring to of course.
If you ask me Jihad Rosie is a coward--if no one can come to the Factor, the Factor will come to them. You see the Corrupt Corporate Communist Press (The new CCCP--the way the Russians used to spell Soviet Union) loves to cover the asses of their moonbat leftist pals everywhere. When someone comes with ACTUAL FACTS and TRUTH and a belief that America is right, these commies take a major offense to it.

I very strongly disagree with you on this. It is one thing for O'Reilly to send his producers out in search of public officials, but quite another to send them after a private citizen (even if appearing at a public book signing). Just as private citizens have a right to speak, they also have a right NOT to speak.
What O'Reilly is doing is not ingenious -- it's boorish.

For the record: I found the Limbaugh resolution to be an embarassing waste of time. Unprofessional conduct from US senators.
That said: The two matters are completely different. I am not saying that O'Reilly doesn't have the right to be critical of a private citizen, just that he is being boorish(at best) when harassing them with a camera crew. O'Donnell does not have a responsibility to speak to O'Reilly's audience -- or anyone else -- if she doesn't want to.
Again: Freedom of speech also includes the right not to speak. Do you disagree?

Normally, I would agree that people should have the right not to speak.
However, inflammatory remarks are a special case. Just as you normally can say what you want but you cannot shout "FIRE" in a crowded theater, I think that Rosie has inflamed the 9/11 inside job conspiracy group with her incorrect statements (Fire cannot melt steel.) and her ignoring reputable work, like what came out of Perdue University.
I feel that in a very important case like this, Rosie should be confronted even if she does not like it. She should speak in standard declarative sentences and respond to contrary data, such as medieval blacksmithing and the Perdue U data.
Personally, I think she is a seriously troubled woman, in many ways similar to a fallen child actor: She was the "Queen of Nice" at one point, but now she is best known as a left-wing lunatic.
