Rachel Maddow's Curious Interest In Fox News
MADDOW MADNESS
Libtalker's Attempt At Fox Gig Raises Questions
Though it was just a minor point (and exclusive scoop) made in our piece on Rachel Maddow's move to a full-time position at Keith Olbermann's MSNBC, word that she lobbied for a similar position at the Fox News Channel has raised eyebrows in cyberspace.
That proved especially true as another inside source independently confirmed our report, which then appeared in Jossip and TVNewser:
Maddow's bizarre interest in Fox News raises many questions, so many that it's hard to know where to begin.
How about here: what in the world was she thinking? Did Maddow wonder for even a moment about how all twelve of her Air America listeners would react?
What if they had actually hired her? Would the left be so quick to shower her with praise?
And if Fox is so evil, as Air America hosts are constantly maintaining, why is it okay to work there?
Another consideration is the embarrassment this has caused her deranged mentor, Olbermann himself. As he brags about his ability to dictate MSNBC programming, how does it feel to know she could have just as easily left for the network he so despises?
Especially considering how Olby attacked Rush for calling Maddow a "failed radio host", what kind of loyalty is that?
As with much of Air America's programming, Maddow is still a broadcast rookie. That she's been elevated so quickly is no substitute for a lack of experience on the playing field. In the coming months, watch for additional blunders from someone who may or may not be ready for primetime.

Was Rachel Maddow being shopped to Fox News? That's what Radio Equalizer hinted at, and Jossip confirms from a "reputable insider" today.
"Maddow's agent, Jean Sage at TV Talent (also Keith Olbermann's agent), asked to send her tapes over to FNC's head of programming, Bill Shine, we're told by a reputable insider," writes Jossip. "But Shine declined."
Jossip does point out this very easily could have been, "negotiating tactics"...but FNC?

"Maddow's bizarre interest in Fox News raises many questions, so many that it's hard to know where to begin."
Why? Fox still has a huge viewership. I learned to see them in a different light, when Barky's money had the other networks tied up in knots, and Fox provided the only accurate, reliable coverage of Hillary Clinton and the emerging PUMA movement during the primaries.
There was no reason for Maddow, Obongo-shill that she has become, not to make her ambitions known. She is smart to exit AAR, she has something of a TV presence, she was practically the only AAR host to stay out of trouble, and she lit a fire under MSNBC's voluminous asses.
Fox sees the handwriting on the wall. They already have the neotard audience locked up, with no where else to go. Why SHOULDN'T they balance their coverage, before it is done for them?
I think this is sour grapes, Brian. She plotted a clear career trajectory, made no bones about it, and, until recently with Olby, saw no need to latch on to fading radio personalities to build a future.
With almost four years of constant pandering to the smallest, most oversaturated subset of radio personality, catering to a small minority of listeners within conservatism, how has that worked out for you?
Can't say I like Rachel's political shift, or her "gotcha" aspirations, but good on her for remembering how this game is played, and actually playing to win for once.

If the butch lesbian wet dream goes to FNC--I AM THROUGH WITH THEM FOR NEWS! Van Susteren, Rivera and Colmes I could take, but MADCOW?! That sultan who owns a little bit of the channel must really be in a tizzy right now.
Do not get news from CNN or MSNBC. Only reason I watch CNN Headline News--Glenn Beck.
I guess my news will have to come from One News Now, the news service of the American Family Association, as well as IRN-USA Radio News, both online and on the air--locally WICC 600 Bridgeport, once a AP Radio station, has IRN-USA.
Rachel Maddow at FNC--talk about Jumping The Shark!

It's all about the money. To get the money she wants, Ms Maddow needs viewers. There are more viewers of FNC that MSNBC (aka DNC TV). Need I say more?

Hash, Rach Maddow IS The Left's answer to Glen Beck. The only difference is SHE will be taking news from the angle of TRUTH and information instead of hateful opinion. ...and as Jack Nickolson once said in a Few Good Men: YOU Can't Handle the Truth!
LOL!

Hash
You still have not explained to me how Obama is worse than McCain, Vote for McCain Iu promise you America will be a 3rd world country, complete with starving babies and families living in tents. Hash, just don't say I did not warn you.
Obama= More Bush
McCain= basically the end of America.
McCain does not even know that people working right now pay for retired people's social security, he had no clue.... He is 100% not fit to lead. He will run this economy to the ground to the point America will look like a country in Africa, people living in tents and starving to death. He will destroy America. Hash, when it happens..... I expect you to admit you were wrong, and base your hatred towards Obama over garbage like Rev. Wright.
your choice Hash, a candidate with nasty ties to black racists, or McCain a candidarte 100% beholden to the rich.
You will be sorry Hash. Remember... I predicted EVERY last thing that happened under Bush and when I said it in 1999, people looked at me like I had 3 heads. In 1999 I predicted $4 a gallon gas with president Bush... I predicted a housing crash..... I predicted that incomes would go down in America.... I predicted a middle East war with no end in site.
all before bush became president. Hash, I think you should take my predictions seriously, I have a record of 95% accuracy.
When you too are living in the street after McCain's "re-distribute the wealth to the rich 100%" economic theory.... please admit you are wrong.
As for Maddow, we need any voice to dis-courage people from rejecting.. you have lost your way Hash, no longer can you distinguish reality.
IF McCain wins, you will see Jared was 100% correct. I expect people to beg for their county back. Each and every voter who voted McCain because they do not like Obama's personal background, such as his church. sad, man, sad. You have become easily hoodwinked. As a %50K a year owner, my future is at on the line. McCain will take away my future. Obama will leave things like they are now. McCain will show you a side of America you have never seen. homeless, starving americans, killing each other over a slice of bread
Obama=Bush
McCain= end of America has a wealthy nation, start of 3rd world America.
I guess if McCain wins, I will see you in the tent city of what was once Brooklyn,Ny. picture Mad Max, only worse. McCain will shift the tax budon 100% fo working America, destroying the entire country.
