BOY, was Joe the Plumber on to something!

The now-infamous exchange between the Illinois senator and self-described regular guy from Ohio has led many to wonder whether Barack Obama really does intend to impose socialism in the United States once he is elected president.

Now, in a bombshell audio interview just discovered buried in public radio's deepest vaults, solid evidence has emerged that Obama truly does believe in a socialistic redistribution of wealth.

This tape provides the smoking gun evidence of Obama's real political views that his critics have been seeking for well over a year.

The video, currently available on YouTube (at least until its pro-Obama censors remove it, that is), features a barely-known Barack in a 2001 Chicago Public Radio interview:

Via Stop The ACLU,
a partial transcript is now available (but you've got to hear it to grasp that he isn't just discussing the topic, but actually advocating socialism):

OBAMA: If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it, I’d be OK.

But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical.

It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties.

(It) Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court-focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

Obviously coming at a time before Obama was on a presidential political trajectory, the then-state senator is overt in his push for outright radical socialism, if not marxism.

During the interview, Obama and a caller discuss how to most effectively bring "redistributive change", telling her that the legislative process is more effective than the court system for creating economic "reparative work".

The radical rhetoric heard in this interview is in sharp contrast to the carefully-chosen words used on the campaign trail. It exposes Obama's true fringe-extremist agenda, but it's up to talk radio, blogs and outraged voters to spread the word.

(UPDATE: bloggers are in fact all over this as we speak, talk hosts including Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and many others planning to jump on it right out of the gate Monday. Drudge has now added it to his headlines as well. This is truly a game-changer and may by itself lead to Obama's downfall a week from tomorrow)

We are just one week away from electing America's first-ever radical socialist president and now his critics have all the ammo they need to alert the public to his dangerously extremist beliefs.

Are you a socialist? If not, then why are you supporting one for president of the United States?

Meanwhile, for all of the mainstream media-led talk of Sarah Palin's supposed unpopularity, a huge McCain-Palin event drew at least 7000 supporters to Kissimmee in a event even the Orlando Sentinel called a "rowdy rally".

According to FOX 35 Orlando, voters waited for up to four hours to see Palin, her husband, talker Sean Hannity (there to interview Palin), as well as The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck at the Silver Spurs Arena:

(WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Vice-Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, rallied thousands of supporters at the Silver Spurs Arena. Many waited four hours or more for the rally to begin and Rob Eckerson gave up Sunday football saying its everyones responsibility to get involved the process you come here you listen to what somebody has to say it has a lot to do with your everyday life said Eckerson whether it be your job whether it be how your health insurance is going to be.

It was nearly 4 o'clock before Gov. Palin took the stage after an introduction from Elisabeth Hasselbeck from ABC'S The View. The rally was scheduled to begin at 3pm but you couldn't find a sign of frustration in the crowd. Governor Palin fired up the crowd with a barrage of attacks on Senator Obama. Barack Obama voted 94 times for higher taxes said Palin 94 times he had the opportunity to prove he was on your side. Each mention of the democratic nominee drew boos from the crowd.

Governor Palin accused the Obama campaign of celebrating victory too early and treating the election as a formality. Palin once again equated Senator Obamas proposed economic plan to socialism Obama says he is for a tax credit which is when government takes your money to give it away to someone else according to his priorities.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck wasn't the only celebrity stumping for the McCain - Palin ticket. Sean Hannity from FOX News was at the rally but didn't take the stage. President George Bush also made an appearance but it was an impersonator. He worked the crowd with a Sarah Palin look-a-like but nothing excited the crowd more than the chance to help the underdog take the White House.

This provides yet another example of why voters should reject the mainstream media's voter suppression campaign and look at what's really happening on the campaign trail.

Should have known it was too good to be true.

  • conservatives have re-distributed wealthg for 30 years, you killed our unions, taxed us to death, while the uber-wealthy have gotten tax loophloes, tac cuts and de-regulation

    your time is up, conservatives

Obama is talking about tax cuts for the working class, not exactly Marxism, pinhead. The clip is vague and is not describing Marxism either, PINHEAD (yes I'm using falafel boy's insult on you pigs)

Marxism is government taking over ALL BUSINESS, not a damm f*c*ing thing to do with tax cuts for working people

imagine, conservatives are arguing against tax cuts for working people!!

amazing, TOTALLY amazing. Brain, it will benefit you, I'm sure you earn wY UNDER $250k A YEAR. embrace IT, PINHEAD

    It is over cons

your chicken little, actions are laughable. you sounds like cowards. Shaking in your boots over tax cuts for working class folk

    ASTONISHING

PALIN IS A SOCIALIST, AN ACTUAL SOCIALIST.SHE TOOK PROFITS FROM BIG OIL IN ALASKA AND GAVE IT TO CITIZENS OF ALASKA

THAT IS CLOSER TO SOCIALISM THAN TAX CUTS

CONS ARE ACTUALLY AGAINST TAX CUTS FOR WORKERS

AND THEY WONDER WHY THEY WILL BE HISTORY IN 9 DAYS

  • All the wealth will remain in the hands of the hard working and educated. Be they liberal or conservative. The dumb and lazy people will always be poor, regardless of the government.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 27 October, 2008 17:40

  • Key points from Obama:

    1. The Supreme Court never considered "redistribution of wealth" or "economic justice" among the guarantees provided to citizens. (probably because it was never in the Constitution in the first place)

    2. Even the radical Warren Court was not "radical" enough for Obama.

    3. The courts have generally provided negative constraints on the government rather than positive obligations the government owes to its citizens, such as economic justice and redistribution of wealth. (and that's what the founding fathers wanted - a tight reign on the Federal government)

    4. It is a "tragedy" that the civil rights movement became so courts-focused, because it limited what redress they could actually obtain -- and it took attention away from the "community organizing" efforts which could assemble "coalitions of [political] power" to actually achieve "redistributive change." Such change simply could not be had in the courts, because they labored under the "constraints" imposed by the Founding Fathers.

I won't be surprised when Obama reveals what is next on his Socialism shopping list: Reparations

  • Jared,

Be careful what you wish for.

Because, it may well come to pass, that it might be YOUR goose that will be cooked, in nine days.

Such things have happened before, you know.

Before you act so cocky, you should be mindful that those who do not learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat them.

Political ideologies are one thing, but evil is another.

You are still full of lies. Conservatives want to keep all taxes low. OB wants to raise taxes and that will be on everyone. Just like Clinton said “only on millionaires” and turned around and raised taxes on everyone.

    Two easy questions.

    1. Who’s paying the tax if he raises taxes on the 5% (employers/job providers) who’s going to pay the tax?

    2. How is OB not raising taxes on middle class by not continuing Bush’s tax cuts on middle class? Is that not a tax?

I know you’re not that bright but think about it. Be careful with your answer so you don’t show your ignorance like when you said “there is no media bias”. What a laugh.

  • Ok guys
    First Hash
I'm cocky? For 30 years the radical right have been foaming at the mouth lunatics, and I like 80% of this country are happy about finally doing away with the pseudo-Republicans which have taken over politics, since that filthy pig Reagan introduced us to the radical right in 1980 and I'm cocky?

Want cocky... I remember cons running around my city with purple bandages insulting Kerry, calling me a terrorist lover, declaring Republicans would be in power for 100 years.... and I'm cocky?
    Get a grip brother.

The only time an election shifted with such a huge electoral gap was Carter-Reagan in 1980m, and it shifted in August, not October. 2004, at this time Bush had a SOLID electoral vote. My brain is fresh and my memory is sharp. The only evil I see is the scum in the White house today.... no Hash, the woman who actually consulted a witch-hunter (witch hunters roam Africa hanging women who are not Christians) Sarah Palin, will NEVER be near the White House. Hash, it may have ben a while since you have touched a female (we all experience this) however stop thinking with the penis. She is not that attractive anyway. Palin, is a nice lady, however she is CRAZY.

Cheney and Bush are indeed Anti-family, Anti-American evil however,
McCain is not evil(just clueless, senile and a liar), Palin is crazy not evil (much like you hash) and Obama is far from evil.
    .
How is Obama evil? Let me guess, he is a Muslim Anti-white terrorist? You really are a fear based voter, devoid of reality. I pity you.

    Pf1
Want to talk taxes? O.K. time for FACTS. Your hero Richard Nixon taxed the wealthiest in America 90%..... 90%..... Understand? Does that make Nixon a socialist? NOPE. A socialist would advocate total takeover of all enterprise by the government. Nixon taxed the rich 90%, were you people shrieking communist then? Hell no. For examle if you made $4 million under Nixon, you only took home $190,000 !!!! 90% taxation....

Clinton taxed nowhere near the level of Nixon or Eisenhower. Clinton did not raise everyone's taxes either, he actually CUT taxes on EVERYONE, top taxation went down slightly, when you listen to right wing radio, reality magically alters.

All Obama wants to do is restore the tax code to the Clinton era and restore the estate tax( which dis-honest conservatives call "death tax").... and cut taxes on working people, which naturally Anti-American conservatives loathe

This is simple, and I have no economics degree. We live in a CONSUMER BASED society, if the VAST majority of people, 90% earn under $250K are the majority of consumers, would it not make sense for them to have more $$$ in their pocket? Without the 90% buying, the 10% can not "create jobs" and nobody has money to support their companies........
Logic, is it escaping the radical, off the handle wing nut? Obviously.

If an "R" stated what I said, they would nod in agreement. PARTY OVER COUNTRY. Obama does it, Obama says it, the American way becomes "socialism" and "communism"

This idea is NOT new, it is what worked for years on end, until Reagan and supply-side economics destroyed America

Obama is far, far from radial. If he is radical , Nixon was a communist, Eisenhower was a communist as well . Both of them taxed the rich 90%. Obama is talking 41%

when the majority has money.... the wealthy become more wealthy and can "create jobs"..... This is not hard.

Face it cons, Obama has a "D" next to his name..... this is why you fear him, and for some the brown skin and funny name scare you.

and PF1, my I.Q is 145, i was skipped 3 grades in elementary school. Who are you calling "not so bright". I think for myself, you are 100% incapable of doing so, Limbaugh has thought for you for 20 years. and yes PF1, my I.Q towers over Rush Limbaugh's, Hannity, Maloney, Levin, O'riley, Gallagher and the rest. Only difference I do not brown nose... Do not ever insinuate such a lie....... The only small mind is YOU.

Hash. In 4 months since you aligned yourself with the Anti-working class McCain campaign and Sarah "witch hunter" Palin... I have asked you.... why is Obama so bad...... and 4 months later no answer......

I know you grew up in NYC in a scary time, the 60's, the riots, the crack epidemic of the 80's.... I know deep down, you are terrified of the black face, this is the only factor I see in your radical Anti-worker, Anti-family Republican shift. If it is not Obama's skin, explain to me, how is he a radical?

    Pf1
I doubt you are racist, simply a Republican, who will take party first.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 28 October, 2008 14:57

  • Mop, consider all these valid points presented by an African American.

He examines the "tool" the liberals use to fool the democrats.

    http://bit.ly/3kvxPT

    He nails it.

Your right I’m not racist. I do believe OB is racist I believe he started going to that racist church to be elected in Chicago.

Does he believe those racist statements made by trinity’s leaders? It has to have some effect on him after twenty years. I believe this is one of the reasons he believes in reparations for blacks.

I could be wrong and going to that racist church could have been all show but I would not take the chance.

I would not answer for Hash but maybe he read up on that church and formed his position that way or he remembers the last time Democrats held a super majority.

    1. Community re investment act the problem in the stock market now.
    2. Terrorism started

Two major problems we still deal with today. I’m sure you are too young to remember those years.

I can’t change your mind about any of this. You are the one who takes party first. Good luck with that in the next few years.

One Question, why would a company stay in America when they can go over seas with fewer regulations and less taxes? Here’s a chance to change my mind with that 145 i. q. and maybe save some jobs. Why stay in America.

  • Hey,

How come you haven't been posting about Al Franken lately?

Oh, that's right because he's winning.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 29 October, 2008 09:48

  • Mike,

Didn't you hear about the home that Franken bought on Martha's Vineyard? He has his bags packed and is ready to ditch Minnesota right after the election, just before the snow starts.

There's not much to say about Frankin's pathetic campaign. He nearly got into a fist fight after his last couple debates.

The Franken campaign collapsed months ago. There are a few loons who support him, but they are fading fast.

First the Franken employees who were stiffed out of their workman's comp insurance opposed Franken.

then the 17 state tax collection bureaus trying to collect overdue Stuart Smalley taxes opposed Franken.

then the citizens of Minnesota (the sensible ones) opposed Franken.

then the liberal newspaper press opposed Franken.
    http://bit.ly/3qy0Ex

and now even Hollywood is opposed to Franken.
    http://bit.ly/1aC57A

It just keeps getting better and better.

another weak Republican attack on Carter?
The community investment act? Had nothing to do with giving loans to people with NO MONEY, the goal was to stop "red-lining" stopping discrimination of qualified black and Hispanics from getting a mortgage in a white neighborhood. Guess what?? I experienced this when I was younger. I'm part Puerto Rican, and my family could not buy a house in White Bensonhurst(trendy Brooklyn area in the 70's) in 1976.
So no the community reinvestment act, had nothing to do with people with no money getting mortgages. My family had plenty of money than, my father is a union man. So Carter had nothing to do with the mortgage meltdown. That is absolutely intellectually dishonest. This is why I have no respect for the right wing. You lie about everything, and use distortion and half-truths to argue.

Next: Terrorism did not start under Carter, utter horse-shale. Terrorism started the day Israel was declared a Jewsih state. That would be at the end of World War 1 and escalated after the UN recognized Israel at the end of world war 2. Open up a history book, Muslims stated attacking Jewish folk as early as the early 30'.... Terrorism did not start in 1976! Carter did not create terrorism, however he made peace between Israel and Egypt.... How quickly we forget....
Pf1. I'm highly educated. These deceptive half-truths do not work on a distinguished individual such as myself

Now Rev. Wright. Out of years of sermons, he said a few distasteful things, which laymen right-wing media folk (armed with their Associates degree) isolated on You-tube and Fox news to create a talking point. Rev. Wright is not a Minister Faarakan or Khalid Mohammad. He is a standard black preacher, who grew up, being told to sit on the back of the bus. I can understand some animosity. You can't empathize, I doubt you are black. Wrights statements sounded more Anti-American government than Anti-white anyway. Standard angry older black folk talk. The whole thing with the government creating HIV, people on the far right have stated as well. This is based on the FACT that the government experimented with Syphilis on minorities in the 60's. this is documented. If you put yourself in an older black man's shoes, you might understand where Rev. Wright was coming from. This does not mean Obama is Anti-white, racist, Anti-Jewish or anything else. Obama agree with Wright spiritually, I do not think it's appropriate for religious figures to get political. That is my problem with Wright.

    Pf1
This election is simple. Americans understand Republicans are the party of the rich. It took 30 years for everyone to wake up and grasp it. Your party is going to have to change their ways. Race-baiting and scaring Jewish voters is not going to work this time

fair, balanced and factual. My motto

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 29 October, 2008 16:46

  • Mike,

This news report today shows that Franken is not winning.

"Coming off what many view as his strongest debate performance of the campaign last Thursday, Coleman leads Franken 43% to 39% in the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of voters in the state."

    I just love it!

By Blogger The Benson Report, at 29 October, 2008 17:33

  • "I'm part Puerto Rican, and my family could not buy a house in White Bensonhurst(trendy Brooklyn area in the 70's) in 1976."

    'Trendy', Jared? LOL....

"Now Rev. Wright. Out of years of sermons, he said a few distasteful things...."

    A "few distasteful things"????

Jared, he'd have to spread out a dozen newborn white infants on his altar, douse them with gasoline, and set them afire, for you to even SUSPECT Wright of his own common anti-white hatred.

And, even then, you'd soon find a way to justify even THAT as some sort of social engineering experiment...

The weight of your own extremist ideology has broken your own back, man. Why not just go back to singing the "Internationale" at hourly intervals?

You've become the inverse extreme of some of the over-the-edge wingnut extremists you love to denounce here...

Not a positive voice for good.

    Pull yourself together.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 30 October, 2008 11:51

  • A poll conducted for the uber-liberal hate-site Daily Kos shows U.S. Senator Norm Coleman leading Al Franken, 43-40.

This is more bad news for Franken.

By Blogger The Benson Report, at 01 November, 2008 10:16

  • so i listened to this tape and nowhere in it does obama say he would change these things or try to get reperations. You say that he is not having a discussion as a professor, but you can clearly tell that he is ( he even states that in the interview.). Keep up the spin!!! it has not worked yet and it is not going to work now. See were racist politics have gotten the republicans, in a big hole they cant climb out of. Why dont you just admit you hate anyone who is not rich and white with your religious beliefs. At least then i could respect the republican party for standing up for what it believes in. And you can jump on Rev. Wright all you want, but then every preacher that tells there congregation that a vote for obama will send you to hell, is unamerican and the should not be able to vote, and that church should lose its tax exempt status. Also you should know that every time the religious right or Palin gets on the mic and starts talking about how this is a christian country, or that it wont be a great country till everyone believes in jesus, you alienate everyone who does not have your religion. You have a right to any religion you want, you DO NOT have the right to force your religion upon everyone in the country. That is what Al-Quaeda did. If you want to live in a christian nation move to the vatican. And to the republicans who want to complain about taxes, trickle down economics DOES NOT WORK! You have pushed this for 30 years and look where it has gotten us. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer, and the middle class became the poor.
