Libtalkers Repeat Phony Limbaugh Quotes Even After Others Retract

WHO NEEDS FACTS?

Even After Networks Retract, Libtalkers Continue Smears

Audio? We don't need no stinkin' audio!

Even after several media outlets have retracted the phony Limbaugh racist "quotes" that were used in the successful attempt to destroy his bid for the St Louis Rams, some libtalkers have stubbornly continued to repeat the smears.

In this inexcusable instance from the Stephanie Miller Show, a number of fabricated statements were read on-air today, even after a producer cautioned them that the source is suspect. Earlier in the program, Miller and her assistants laughed as a caller requested actual proof that the audio exists.

Here's the transcript and clip (featuring both segments together):

WARD (48:00): Um really? (sarcastic tone) Should I read some of the racist quotes again?

MILLER: Yes Jim! Yes read some of the racist Rush Limbaugh fun facts.

WARD: I’ll see if the computer will let me. Well, he talked about the slavery thing

LAVOIE: Well, we need to be careful about that one came from a book 101 People Who Are Really Screwing Up America by John Huberman and none of the quotes in that book were sourced.

WARD: (concerned because he apparently already read from the book in segment 1) Ohhhhh.

LAVOIE: So we need to be careful about the merits of slavery quote.

MILLER: Well, there’s lots of other ones. Trust me I’ve heard lots of other ones.

LAVOIE: Right I know I know.

WARD (not paying heed to Lavoie’s warning) (imitating Limbaugh): Do you know who deserves a posthumous medal of honor James Earl Ray! With Mr. James God speed.

WARD (in his own voice): He’s the you know murderer of Martin Luther King. Nice.

WARD (imitating Limbaugh): Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?

MILLER: Where’s his Rush music Chris? Ah go ahead.

WARD: The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies my friends. The NFL often looks like a game between the bloods and the crips without any weapons. (Limbaugh theme music begins) There I said it! They’re twelve percent of the population. Who the hell cares? Take that bone out of your nose and call me back!

WARD: You know that the ah. I don’t know where they get these racist allegations?

MILLER: Yeah, those are the ones I’ve actually seen the clips and heard the clips on television. Yeah.

[...]

MILLER (9:34): No actually, there’s actual audio.

WARD: There were actual recordings.

MILLER: All of the things he was quoted they backed it up with the actual audio and video from Rush’s show.

[...]

MILLER (10:28): What we’re saying is that our show and many others on TV have posted actual audio and video, so we’re not…Rush claims that this has all been made up. But, how do you dispute things that he’s actually said that are (pause) we’ve played back on this show or people have played back on television?

MALE CALLER (12:44): No one has proven to me that he’s racist. (Lavoie laughing in the background)

MILLER: Really? Saying slavery wasn’t that bad, that at least it built this country, you don’t think that might be offensive?

MALE CALLER: You’re also twisting the words that I heard that apparently he did say. But, the ting is (Miller interrupts)

MILLER: No, we played the actual audio, saying to an African American caller take the bone out of your nose and call me back.

MALE CALLER: What I heard he did not say slavery wasn’t bad, he said slavery built the south and that is a fact.

[...]

JIM WARD (15:33): You want to hear what Limbaugh said about slavery? (Ward reading) He says that “Let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country because it was a bad thing, quite the opposite, slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back. I’m saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.” That’s not racist?

Hey Steph, where's your evidence?

  • Talk about taking advantage of the bias and ignorance of your audience and using them for your petty politics.
No wonder their ratings are in the toilet.

    For limbaugh
Buying the Rams we must block

    For his evil plans

    He’ll buy the contract
    of Terrell Owens
    just so he can say

    his having an NFL team
    Would be a disaster
    he just wants black players

    Own the Rams

  • Liberals have a multitude of mental diseases. That's really all you need to know about any of this. Truth excapes them in their blind quest for character assassination of the 'enemy'. Morons.

  • Liberal talk radio actually exists?

Miller sounds like a typical bitter, miserable, and jealous liberal prick. It must be such a morale buster when Rush has a daily listening audience of 22 million, and the entire pathetic Air America line-up struggles to get 200 listeners nationwide.

    Nyuck!!

  • It's not like the 17 people listening to Stephanie Miller's show would change their opinion of Rush even if you could convince them the quotes were lies.

  • Hey, fake but accurate. Dan Rather set the standard.
All these %#&@ing amateurs should suffer Rather's fate, but it might destaff MSNBC overnight....

  • It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).

Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. Don’t we all feel better?

  • You may not need facts when attacking Limbaugh, but you might want to get a lawyer or two now.

By Blogger uncledan, at 17 October, 2009 15:38

  • those pesky facts

By Blogger Chris, at 17 October, 2009 18:15

  • I'm a Rush fan, have been listening for 20 years. It's interesting that the left beats false statements into the ground, but it just makes them happier to know it bothers the right. They get the results they want, they have stacks of billionaires controlling media. Rush should have known Soros was part of Checketts' group--the two paired in 2003 to try to buy the Dodgers, so they're obviously friends. Soros equals Obama. I wouldn't call it a conspiracy-that would've required effort. I'd call what they pulled on Rush a practical joke. All this rehashing of the predictable outcome just makes the left happier.

  • Let's see... Rush could sue Stephanie Miller...Rachel Maddow...that no-name guy who wrote the book where these bogus quotes came from...

Oh, this is going to get really entertaining.

  • It does my heart(&soul) good knowing that a big FAT blowhard who is rich can't always get what he wants..namely an NFL ownership. And it's all because of that big fat pompous,BIGOTTED mouth! LOL! If you heard the Steph Miller Show you would have heard her say that some of the things Limbaugh supposedly said he didn't say. But the things Limbaugh really did say are just as racist. Love to see he words come back to bite him in the butt! HA!

  • Jeez, you dweebs still defend the billionaire liar Rush?
what a sad excuse of an American you dweevbs are

America has moved way beyond Rush.

Nobody listens to Rush except for a laugh

that is all he is a laugh

  • The NFL decides who becomes an owner not the other way around.

All this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has to offer is his money and his opinions, (which in my opinion are on the fringes of racism, one mans opinion). There are many more groups biding for the Rams, not just his group. Lets face it there are more men with money (Marshall Faulk) that will gladly fill the slot and the Rams will win or lose depending on how well they work as a team and not on whether or not Rush is an owner.

As for Vick, well he is a player (he has talent not like you, Rush or I, unless you are a NFL player?) and he served his time and the NFL decided we live in the land of second chances, so why not (I personally don’t like it but, oh well). Life has never been fair (NEWS FLASH!)

Now as to the “Free Speech” argument, I guess many of you like myself heard Rush on Thursday “Almost in tears”, priceless. But the last couple of days he now is in his normal ranting and will continue until someone surpasses him, “Free Speech” continues, so what is being stifled, it simply is not true, of course, you may not have a radio, so you might want to get one.

PPS- Beauty Pageant Judge - Now I understand why he lost the weight, to find a new wife, creepy.
