Sharpton: My Listeners Overwhelmingly Support Court's Gun Rights Decision

CLARENCE AND AL

Thomas, Sharpton Listeners On Same Side Of Gun Debate

For all the flak
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has taken from so-called civil rights leaders (in addition to obnoxious white liberals), it's interesting to see his stance on Second Amendment gun rights resonating through the African-American community this week.

Don't take our word for this, as it's none other than Al Sharpton who today made the stunning on-air admission that the overwhelming majority of his listeners are pleased with the US Supreme Court's decision.

From the program:

SHARPTON (4:52): I would say 90% of the calls I received yesterday were in support of the Supreme Court and people say they want to bear guns. They’re tired of the violence and it’s very very interesting. I have had a few on both sides today, but yesterday was overwhelming, it was stunning to me.

I just told Attorney Lou Meyers, lady stopped me last night; I did the commencement address at Boys and Girls High. She said I listen to your show Reverend and I want you to know I’m saved sanctified by feel of the Holy Ghost, but if they come in my house I’m going to drop them right where they stand. So, and she looked like she was in her eighties.

What could possibly be more threatening to the white liberal establishment than common ground discovered between Al Sharpton and Clarence Thomas? Just the idea is enough to give our "progressive" friends chest pains.

Libtalker, Listeners: Dick Cheney 'Needs A Stake Through The Heart'

LIBTALK'S BYRD-BRAINS

Liberal Radio: Why Won't Cheney Die?

On a day when touchy state-run media types are busy denouncing any reference to the late Senator Robert Byrd's (D-WV) Ku Klux Klan activities, it's interesting to see what happens when the shoe's on the other foot.

With Dick Cheney undergoing treatment over the weekend after a recurrence of heart troubles, the restraint expected of the right with Byrd's passing apparently doesn't apply to the former vice-president. Liberal talk radio's only real regret is that Cheney continues to survive rather than suffer the fate they believe he deserves.

From Friday's syndicated Mike Malloy Show:

MALLOY (05:13): the cause of his latest health problem is not clear. I think I know, but (long pause) he's done too much cannibalism, drunk too many cups of blood!

[...]

MALLOY (51:51): No, I'm not, uh, going to feel anything but intense gratitude, uh, that this miserable bastard has stepped off this earthly coil! Uh, really! And I'm sure on a much lesser scale when I die, there will be some of you right-wing flip tops who will feel the same way - I frankly don't give a damn!

But um, um - no - Cheney is responsible; Cheney is a murderer; he's a killer; he's a torturer; he is evil personified! He is a walking mass of, um, horror and when he's gone, this planet will be cleaner!

While reaction to the late senator's passing is examined syllable-by-syllable by the left's partisan sensitivity screeners, expect the hate emanating from the own side to once again be ignored.

Have these Byrd-brains ever done it any other way?

Rosie O'Donnell Justifies World Cup Anti-Americanism

RED CARD FOR STUPIDITY

Rosie & Friends: World Cup Anti-Americanism 'Understandable'

It's official: Rosie's on a roll. After pushing communism, claiming Obama has it tougher than FDR and defending anti-Semitic outbursts from Helen Thomas, it seemed hard to believe O'Donnell could outdo herself.

Yet during yesterday's satellite-based Rosie Radio, her producers (foolishly given live mics) led her right into another soon-to-be-classic lowlight:

O'DONNELL (21:22) (watching live in studio, after a U.S. goal is disallowed in the World Cup): Obviously, there's anti-American sentiment here at the game.

PETE MELE (staffer): Well, there should be.

O'DONNELL: ...Why should there be, Pete?...

MELE: I meant to say, it's understandable.

O'DONNELL: Yeah, it's understandable.

Is it truly "understandable" that Americans would be mistreated during the World Cup? How so?

An explanation would have been useful, but Rosie & Friends were quickly distracted by a producer's inability to identify the country containing Tripoli (it's Libya, for the record).

Remember, this is supposed to be a lifestyle program.

Sharpton Crony Unleashes Tirade Against General Stanley McChrystal

HE'S 'A CANCER'

Sharpton Show Tirade: General McChrystal Must Be Stopped

What's it like to be part of the Reverend Al Sharpton's entourage? Apparently, it's one sheltered environment: while Obama takes heat from all sides for his mishandling of virtually every major pressing issue, Al's cronies seen flabbergasted that anyone would choose to oppose their Dear Leader.

That's despite a well-documented history of Al Sharpton Show callers using the program to express their displeasure. Within the reverend's inner circle, however, overt dissent seems not to exist.

Regular Sharpton fill-in / crony Andre Eggleston used Tuesday's show to lament General Stanley McChrystal's strong criticism of the embattled president, blasting him as "a cancer" during an angry tirade.

In Eggleston's strange world, Obama is little more than a victim of mean people who want to make his life difficult:

ANDRE EGGLESTON (1:40): It’s sad, it really is. Sad to see with all of the problems President Obama has had to contend with, now he has got to deal with rank insubordination, borderline sedition, violations of the military code of justice. From his number one man in probably the most tenuous war America has ever been involved in. We’re talking about Afghanistan. In all due credit to General McChrystal, he did an excellent job commanding Delta force when they killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq. But then you come right back and you keep messing up man.

You know we’ve just had enough of this man and but you haven’t heard the worst of it. If you haven’t read the article in Rolling Stone, one of the worst things that he said to the Rolling Stone. One of the worst gobs of bovine excrement he spewed to that newspaper and magazine, whatever you want to call it, is the fact that he doesn’t know who the enemy really is.

You know McChrystal says he ceased control of the war by quote never taking his eye off of the real enemy, the wimps in the White House. That alone, that alone President Obama and I do hope you’re listening, that alone this guy deserves some very harsh chastisement for that. We cannot have this cancer in our military if this is the way this guy really feels that you’re the enemy. Where’s all this come from?

On Planet Sharpton, Obama is a hard-working leader who eschews golf and crafts carefully-considered plans to deal with major issues, including wartime strategy. Must be quite a place.

McChrystal's words have resonated because Americans have yet to see even a trace of the leadership Obama was supposedly to provide in abundance. Until he learns to fill the shoes, it's unrealistic to expect the public to respect him as Commander-in-Chief.

Rosie O'Donnell: Obama Handed More Difficult Issues Than Roosevelt

TOUGHER THAN FDR?

O'Donnell: Obama's Circumstances Beyond His Control

If there's some kind of competition underway to see which libtalker can make the nuttiest point imaginable, could someone us know? It's been quite a week.

For her bizarre assertion that Obama has been handed a more difficult set of circumstances than Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Rosie O'Donnell wins today's contest, hands down.

After all, she claims, it's not as though Obama can do anything about that nasty oil spill. It's simply beyond his control.

But did FDR personally fight in the war? Did he man the bread lines during the Great Depression? The comparison, of course, is absurd.

From yesterday's Rosie Radio:

What's next from this crazy bunch? We can't wait.

MSNBC Libtalker Rips Lee Greenwood, 'God Bless The USA'

FIGHTIN' WORDS

MSNBC'S Schultz Disgusted By Patriotic Displays

*** CAUGHT-ON-TAPE EXCLUSIVE ***

What's next - mom and apple pie? From the man who advocates election fraud and Obamist dictatorial rule comes an unprovoked attack against country singer Lee Greenwood and his classic American anthem God Bless The USA.

According to MSNBC's Ed Schultz, the song is little more than imperialistic propaganda used to justify foreign invasions.

The purpose of Big Ed's tirade? The syndicated libtalker would like radio listeners to cook up a counter-version aimed at attacking BP and Big Oil.

From Ed's June 15 radio program:

SCHULTZ (43:59): Man, we need an oil spill song is what we need! Some idea, somewhere, some songwriter out there's gotta come up with something, to remind us, just like Lee Greenwood reminded us that it was the right thing to do to love America and invade everybody. We need some song out there to remind us that, it's BP!

Short of calling for Stalin's reincarnation, it's not clear how Schultz could ever hope to top these recent outbursts of hate. The real question: why does NBC want to be associated with this kind of fringe rhetoric?

Even Libtalker Stunned By Violent Behavior From Dem Congressman

UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE

Dem Congressman Takes Rare Heat From Libtalker

While some on the left struggle to defend the bizarre, violent reaction by a Democratic congressman to a young interviewer's streetside questions, the entrenched Beltway politico has managed to spark a rare rebuke from liberal talk radio.

As a Democrat, it takes quite a lot to generate heat from the likes of Randi Rhodes, yet Rep Bob Etheridge (D-NC) has managed to earn this dubious honor:

RANDI RHODES (10:43): Today we have a congressman from North Carolina, Bob Etheridge, who was being asked questions by that - that Breitbart guy - you know, he's got those stupid people out there all the time, hunting down people. But this guy's reaction; he's supposed to be a congressman; this guy's reaction is like so unfreaking-believable; he just - he grabs this kid, he snatches his cell phone camera out of his hands, he grabs his wrist, he refuses to let go, and he - "WHO ARE YOU? TELL ME WHO YOU ARE! I WANT TO KNOW - WHO ARE YOU WHO ARE YOU?"

And it's not a student- it's one of Breitbart's little crew, the crew guy goes, well, we're here for a project, he's working for Breitbart, and, so they're both dishonest, but at least, you know, the kid wasn't violent! So, Etheridge says uh, you know, the little operative says, let go of me, let go of me, and Congressman Etheridge, uh, grabs him by the neck!

So what kind of "bizarre" are we looking for, guys that choke guys, guys that grope male staffers, guys that sell Senate seats; guys that cry on the Senate floor, guys that cry on the House floor....

Rather than a sign of budding ideological independence from the left, this kind of display may indicate an election year salvage operation where Dems look for those who can be saved, while throwing the rest overboard. Etheridge clearly belongs in the latter group.

Mark Levin: Rosie O'Donnell Is A No-Talent Kook

HEATING UP

O'Donnell's 'Ovens' Talk Meets Strong Resistance

Conservative talkers and bloggers have reacted strongly to Rosie O'Donnell's now-infamous defense of former White House reporter Helen Thomas and her seemingly anti-Semitic remarks, with satellite talker Andrew Wilkow, syndicated host Mark Levin and others blasting her.

Reached via email, Levin told the Radio Equalizer, "Rosie is a moron. It just shows what a remarkable country this is when stupid, no-talented kooks like her get paid to be stupid, no-talented kooks."

While Huffington Post seemingly played up the "positive" aspect (from a leftist perspective, anyway) of moral support for Rosie, Hot Air's Allahpundit slammed O'Donnell for her show's misuse of "political correctness" as though it is the only reason one could support or defend the right of Jews to live in Israel.

From Wilkow's program:

The big question: are Rosie's views really out of sync with her lefty friends, or is she merely willing to reveal them honestly while others hide their real feelings?

Rosie O'Donnell Defends, Supports Helen Thomas

HELEN WAS RIGHT!

Adding Spin, Rosie O'Donnell Aligns With Hezbollah

What's the difference between Hezbollah's thugs and libtalker Rosie O'Donnell? Apparently, not much. While the terrorism lobby openly defends longtime White House reporter Helen Thomas, O'Donnell is offering similar praise and even going so far as to call her a victim of "political correctness".

The only real distinction: O'Donnell's willing to dance around Helen's anti-Semitic script a bit to make the message seem less bigoted.

Though there are many others on the left who are angry about the 89-year-old stalwart's sudden departure from the White House Press Corps, few are willing to go so far as to agree with her statement. From The Progressive, a more typical liberal response:

Yes, her recent comments were grossly insensitive.

To tell Jews that they should “get the hell out of Palestine” and go back to Germany and Poland was offensive in the extreme, after what Jews suffered there.

But did her recent comments require that she be tarred and feathered and run out on a rail?

She quickly and fulsomely apologized for her remarks, as she should have.

Rosie, however, is willing to go all the way: fresh from declaring "communism" as the answer to dealing with corporate misconduct in America, O'Donnell actually appears to agree that Jews should depart Israel for Germany and Poland, especially since (GET THIS) THE OVENS ARE GONE!

Thank goodness for that, what more incentive does anyone need to abandon Tel Aviv? Pack your bags, kids, we're leaving for Hamburg!

The obvious question: Rosie, did Jews live in the land that is now Israel before World War II?

Here, listen as Rosie & Friends (her producers who are for some reason given microphones) descend into unchartered depths of in-over-our-heads foolishness and depravity:

Rosie was originally hired to host a lifestyle show, but her far-left political agenda has now become the primary focus. Could it have been any other way?

By far the biggest mistake, however, has been the liberal use of producers as de facto co-hosts. With an amazing habit of making extreme statements that O'Donnell subsequently adopts as her own, they've proven to be her program's biggest flaw.

Democrat Tells Libtalker He Wants Republicans Sent To Prison

JAIL MY FOES

Grayson: Michael Steele Should Be Imprisoned

While it's already no secret that far-left Rep Alan Grayson (D-FL) is a loose cannon, there's no question his fiery rhetoric has been cranked up a few notches in recent days.

Fresh off of claiming he'd win the Republican primary in his district (while refusing to provide details of an internal poll) and planning to add a large red neon sign reading "GRAYSON" outside his office, it should come as no surprise there's an active website dedicated to putting an end to his madness.

But Grayson's latest example of excess has a more sinister ring to it: an open expression of his desire to see Republican foes sent to prison, starting with Michael Steele, for reasons including past support for offshore oil drilling.

From an interview heard during yesterday's Stephanie Miller Show:

REP ALAN GRAYSON (31:26): How about just tracking down every single person who said drill baby drill and putting them all in prison. Why don’t we do that?

MILLER:
There you go.

REP GRAYSON: Starting with Michael Steele.

MILLER: Yeah, isn’t that the galling thing about all of this. That this is the drill baby drill crowd that put these regulations in place that’s criticizing this President as if this is his fault.

The question: when do Grayson's antics cross the line from silly to downright dangerous? Have we reached that point?

Rosie O'Donnell, Guest Use Show To Push State Takeover Of Industry

RED ROSIE

O'Donnell, Actor Guest Make Case For Communism In America

*** ELSEWHERE: Mark Levin On Unions, Arizona Immigration Law ***

Feeling nostalgic for the bad old days of the Soviet Union? Then look no further than XM Sirius Satellite Radio, where Rosie O'Donnell and friends utilize a lifestyle channel to promote hard-line Red propaganda.

Together with Comrade Euan Morton, yesterday's show extolled the wonders of a truly utopian society, where adults share possessions the same way children let others play with their toys.

Morton is an actor best known for his role in the ill-fated Boy George musical Taboo. He's also the son-in-law of Richard Armitage. The musical was produced by O'Donnell.

And yes, the C-word (communism) was actually used in this discussion, so don't blame your Radio Equalizer. From yesterday's Rosie Radio:

EUAN MORTON (1:18:56): This is a ridiculous idea, 'cause we don't live in a utopian, what's the word, communist society, but wouldn't you just love to have the federal government and I know people talk about big government and all the rest of it, it's just nonsense, I'd love to have the federal government take over the oil companies, use the money to give our children free education, and then in the future we can educate our children to start doing things like solar power, wind power--

O'DONNELL: Exactly.

MORTON: I don't know why it's not being done, it's plainly obvious. It's screaing out for someone. This is a Biblical age we are living in. The problems are massive. Volcanoes stopping flights. These are huge problems that we're now facing. Rather than having it pour into the ocean for 41 days, another two months to drill another well to top it off, we have to have a way of making the kind of sea change that we need to make in the self-proclaimed leader of the free world--

O'DONNELL: James Carville said the best thing. He said Obama needs to come down here and tell BP, 'I'm your daddy, I am takin' it over', but they haven't been able to do it [...]

MORTON: [...] It's frightening that we can go off in the world and spread our 'democracy' -- I did air quotes there -- and yet here in our own country we can't rescue our own people, that we can't look after our own people. We can't give them education, we can't afford to give them health care, but we can go over there and spend billions of dollars a week doing what we're doing in Afghanistan, in Iraq and soon to be North Korea, in Iran, with Israel. We are spending money, so much money abroad and leaving ourselves destitute. It's frightening, it's really frightening.

O'DONNELL: I totally agree. It is terrifying.

MORTON: I was talking to someone in a bar recently and he was giving me this 'Obama's fantastic, and it's changing the world'. And ultimately, he's better than Bush. You could put a carrot as the president and it'd be better than Bush, but [Obama] it's just another man, a figurehead at the top of a system which is fundamentally broken and doesn't work and unless we make massive changes, it won't matter who's the president.

O'DONNELL: Unless he's able to really muster up the courage to say I'm gonna be as long term as, maybe one term but you know what I'm doing? I'm ending Don't Ask Don't Tell right now and I'm signing an executive order and I'm taking over the BP oil spill, like, boom, boom, boom. Someone has to do it.

MORTON: Someone has to do it. Someone has to make big, brave decisions. And you know what, it might not be great for a lot of people in the country, and there'll be fear and there'll be doubt, but there's already fear and doubt anyway. We're living in a system where every day we wake up to orange level, red level...

Yes, in the strange world of Rosie & Pals, Obama's forced takeover of America's system of capitalism and democracy is proceeding at a pace that's simply too slow. Too bad Stalin and Lenin aren't around to provide the proper guidance.
