For a Solid Analysis on Dino Rossi's Case

Check out Timothy Goddard's blog here. Goddard compares arguments made so far to Washington law to take a stab at what might hold up at the state supreme court level. He reminds voters that Christine Gregoire's inauguration really has no legal bearing on the ultimate outcome of the case.

My approach to the situation has been different from some of the other bloggers who have spent an incredible amount of time researching flaws, errors, fraud and the law. They have broken stories and forced the print media to play constant catch-up.

This is the second great story that has fueled the rise of bloggers, the first of course was RaTHergate.

For me it's also been about PR and public sentiment. You can have every law going your way and solid evidence to back up your allegations but if the public isn't there you're going to be in trouble.

So keeping the public fired up and ready for battle has been crucial. The Washington State GOP and Rossi have done a good job in that regard.

This aspect is just as important a role for the blogosphere to play as the technical side. When the two are blended together, a real movement emerges. If a new election is called, it will be in large part because of the incredible work done by Sound Politics, the individual sites of its writers such as Rosenblog, plus Timothy Goddard and others.
