Air America's Finance VP Appears To Depart
Where's Sinohe?
Air America's Thankless Job, Receptionist's Odd Reaction
***EXCLUSIVE***
BY MICHELLE MALKIN AND BRIAN MALONEY
Other than fetching coffee for Janeane Garofalo, what do think is Air America's most miserable employment position?
Our pick: vice-president of finance.
Imagine having to send out the now-infamous email explaining why direct-deposits wouldn't be available on time? Or being forced to make excuses for the company's many screw-ups?
You're surely on the receiving end of a lot of misplaced abuse.
Recall this Radio Equalizer piece from August 8th:
It's bad enough the company is generating fresh bad publicity almost daily, over the diverted $875,000 in taxpayer funds intended for a Bronx-based community service organization.
Now, to make matters worse, an internal memo obtained by the Radio Equalizer indicates Air America Radio employees faced late paychecks just over a week ago.
They were apparently stunned to receive a last-minute notice sent at 5:09pm Thursday, July 28th, indicating direct deposits would not be made Friday, as expected.
Written by company Vice President/Finance Sinohe Terrero (this article confims Terrero's corporate role), it implied the payroll processing company was to blame:
We have been advised by ADP that Direct Deposit will probably not post until Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cost (sic). If you have any questions please feel free to call me.
Sinohe Terrero
VP Finance
212-871-****
718-807-****
Somehow, Sinohe Terrero survived well over a year in this thankless role.
Young and eager to prove himself, Terrero had a role in HBO's "Left of the Dial" documentary, shown last year.
But where is he now? After hearing rumblings for weeks of an impending resignation, it now appears he's left the building.
Funny, the media spends so much time trying to "find" Evan Montvel-Cohen, yet they've probably never heard of Sinohe Terrero.
What does he know about Air America's troubled financial picture? Or concerning the Gloria Wise "loan" scheme? Does he know where the bodies are buried?
Could he frankly be too dangerous to be cut loose from the company? He's the proverbial man who knew too much.
Chief Operating Officer Carl Ginsburg feels "it is for the best" that Terrero departed, according to internal sources.
Two weeks ago, we reached him on his cell phone and asked if he was exiting the company. Seemingly caught off-guard, Terrero was polite, but gave a "no comment" response and said he'd need to call back later.
He never did, and subsequent emails went unanswered.
Since then, Terrero has still been occasionally seen in the building.
Today, a call to Air America's corporate offices yielded a peculiar response: a receptionist who seemed particularly uncomfortable when asked to be transferred to his extension.
She stuttered and stammered, with a long pause, then transferred us to his voicemail, which may have actually belonged to his cellphone.
Would you perhaps have better luck getting an answer about Sinohe (SIN-O-EEE) Terrero's whereabouts? If you wish, feel free to phone Air America's corporate offices on Monday at (212)-871-8100 and simply ask, "Where's Sinohe?"
Best of luck to Terrero, it's probably not easy to pass around resumes with Air America listed as your most recent employer, do you think?

The Program Dir. at WHJJ in Providence, an Air America affiliate,
says that the AAR "experiment is
essentially over" as a former
"Survivor" contestant takes over
the Springer time slot--
and Franken's slot will see changes
in a few weeks as well.

Perhaps because HOT Air America has been a lie from the time the "network" signed on! In terms of WHJJ, it's going to take a lot of work to restart that machine.
And in terms of sources for mister Tuck, how about in terms of radio USA Radio Network News. Then again, you may not like them as they tend to tilt to the right.

"John Terrero" failed to mention that Sinohe Terrero worked as the Fiscal Director for the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club prior to his tenure at Air America. Interesting connection, isn't it...If you haven't already, see full investigative report at http://www.nyc.gov/html/doi/pdf/GW_Report.pdf
