President Ford's Passing, Moonbats, Bush

NO SELF CONTROL

Ford's Passing Brings Out The Moonbats

As certain as another round of empty platitudes from Barack Obama, lefty moonbats can always be expected to surface at the most inappropriate times imaginable. And the passing of President Gerald R Ford last night has so far proven to be no exception.

Why does their anger boil over in circumstances like these? And why don't the folks running the Huffington Post, DailyKos and other lefty sites do more to contain moonbat outbreaks when they first occur?

After all, does it really bode well for their credibility when posters are allowed to trash the memory of American presidents mere moments after they have passed away? While not as bad as the "progressive" hatefest that followed Ronald Reagan's death (some are even praising Nixon's successor), Ford's departure from this Earth has still managed to bring out some truly unhinged anger.

At issue among the perpetually- outraged lefties: Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon and the fact that press reports have dared to call him the only unelected president.

Another batty contention: that the media will focus on this event to distract the public from Bush and the war in Iraq!

Like clockwork, a trip to one of these "progressive" hate sites can immediately produce a treasure trove of moonbat ravings after key news events. Don't believe us? Here are some examples from the HuffPo, a major left- wing site (we've made a few edits for language):

Comments :

The MSM network "News?" will use the death of this former pResident to bury important news they spend all their time not informing us about or reporting WH spin as news.

Wall to wall coverage and accolades for this nonentity Ford will have me renting more movies.

He's had 70 or more years of life than the kids in Iraq sacrificed by his fellow Repub. "The Decider" That's the tragedy, not this old mans death.

CNN and the rest of the news media, will play this out, until it seems like an eternity has passed, where Gerald Ford was the only President the US ever had. In the meantime, Saddam Hussein, will be hung, and the Bush family will breath a sigh of relief, that they were given a means of covering up a miniscule part of the huge mess of crap they have heaped on the American public. Ford may have pardoned Nixon, but no future President, should be ever allowed to pardon, George W. Bush. George W. Bush is by far worse than every other President that has ever existed period. It's a shame it wasn't him instead. Pretzels anyone.

May former President Ford rest in peace.

RIP, Gerald Ford. A great american, a great president, and an eagle scout to boot.
By: csdeven on December 27, 2006 at 12:17am
"great president"? What did he do, besides pardon Nixon?

He wasn't in office long enough to do damage to America like Nixon/Reagan/Bush.

Okay, in the history books, Ford was one of the best Republican presidents of the 20th century because he did so little damage.

RIP Gerald Ford

Too bad your wife made a bigger impact with her rehab clinic than anything you ever did as president.
By: SeconLine on December 27, 2006 at 12:39am

Oh man... I know he was President but pardoning Nixon was brutal. Had he not pardoned the Tricky Dick and Milhouse went to jail for crimes against the Republic, perhaps W would have thought twice about breaking as many laws as he has and perhaps 3000 deaths and countless maiming would not have occured in Iraq because he would have known he couldn't get away with it...

Will we have the courage to try this scoundrel and erase the precedent the good natured and decent Gerald Ford perpetuated on the country.
RIP

THE ONLY GOOD REPUBLICAN IS A DEAD REPUBLICAN

aAaaRGGHHH !!! i MEANT dEMOCRAP
By: DickCheney on December 27, 2006 at 02:02am

Now we'll have to have the laying in state, the big ceremonial funeral etc. until everyone is bored to death. Nice of him to give bush some cover while he finds his comfort zone on Iraq. Tragedy? An old republican bastard dies at 93 after a useless dotage playing golf. Where's the tragedy in that?
By: BrandedOnMyFeet on December 27, 2006 at 12:24am

Ford was an apologist or a cheer- leader for every bad thing that has happened in American politics over the last seventy years at least.
Now he is praised for being too stupid to be a complete a--hole like Nixon, Reagan, and the two Bushes.
Unbelievable!

"But let me ask you, what good does it do to be angry at him now that he's DEAD?"
By: Vincenzo26 on December 27, 2006 at 01:38am

A corporation has no soul to be damned and no body to be kicked.

But this bastard does.

So kick away. The world is much worse because he was here.

Meanwhile, at the DailyKos, there's a bit more self- control, but not enough. And you're likely to hear at least a few of these people calling radio talk shows today.

So what is it that fuels this constant level of rage? When even the late President Gerald Ford can spark this kind of anger, just how healthy can these people be?

  • OK, when will Hash, MOP, elbonica, and the other leftie hate mongers join in? In their mental illness, they won't be able to help themselves.

  • The media is showing no self control in their attacks on Obama. Another weak, pathetic post by Maloney, having to dig into the America's top blogs (all LIBERAL) to find quotes. You know what, Ford deserves criticism, he pardoned that scum bag Nixon, and was NEVER ELECTED. The complicit media will not even review his history. Ford was NOT a REAL PRESIDENT, he was a NIXON hack. Main-stream America despises ford as much as Nixon, and the radical right is in sick denial over this. Most of America could not care less about Ford, he is only a hero to the anti-establishment, radical right

  • Minister of Propaganda could well be a conservative who pretends to be liberal to make liberals look bad. Not that they need any help...

By Blogger raccoonradio, at 27 December, 2006 11:57

  • The following two statements by MOP were separated by one single clause.

Main-stream America despises ford as much as Nixon

Most of America could not care less about Ford

    Make up your mind.

  • You people know that this idiot Maloney is just trying to keep America seperated by the garbage he post on this site. He hate half of America and the Left hates the other half. But of course I defend that right to hate. And so did Lt. Commander Gerald Ford. May he Rest In Peace!

By Blogger Iraq War Veteran, at 27 December, 2006 14:29

  • guess what?!?! all sorts of crazy people have access to the internet, from both parties. just because some people who happened to be liberals or democrats or progressives does not mean that they are "mentally ill". i won't say that i liked Ford, but i wouldn't be so heartless as to bash him mere hours after he has passed. that is completely rude and lacking of any class.

however, as i mentioned above, crazy people use the internet, too, and they post on blogs. are liberals the only ones who do that? absolutely not. does it have ANY influence on the party itself or the policies of this country? not at all.

President Ford passing away is sad. he wasn't a bad person. but you assholes need to get off your pedestals and acknowledge that you have crazies in your party, just as we have some in ours. i admit it because i know it is the truth, but for some reason you conservatives have such a difficult time admitting to the truth. i honestly do not understand it.

By Blogger liberal outlaw, at 27 December, 2006 14:34

  • oops. my post should say "just because some people HAPPEN to be liberals...."

i didn't mean to say "who happened..."

    my bad.

  • Obviously Maloney was really concerned about honoring Fords passing. Within 15 minutes of the news breaking he is trolling comment sections for something salacious.

By Blogger Elmonica, at 27 December, 2006 15:29

  • Great point elmonica!

By Blogger Iraq War Veteran, at 27 December, 2006 15:33

  • Oh, another billion-dollar extravaganza....

While America wishes it was a far more "current" president that was actually being laid to rest.

    Hypocrisy of the highest order.

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 27 December, 2006 18:46

  • Let me ask you leftist CDS (Conservative Derrangement Syndrome) people this:

How would you feel when Jimmy "WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER!!!" Carter goes to his resting place (namely hell)? Lots of conservatives would be glad to high heck when he ups and dies. And of course your pals at DU, Koz, and HuffPo would be crying in their soy milk--liberal pantywaists!! I would say GOOD RIDDANCE! Same would go for Clinton! But that's years down the road.

Anyhow, Ford's fatal flaw was at that 1976 debate when he said that there was no Soviet domination in Eastern Europe. That NOT The Nixon pardon, as the leftist press would have you believe, was Ford's ultimate downfall. Even in the 1970's thanks to Woodward and Bernstein, the press was damn liberal.

Personally I have mixed feelings about the pardon. Then again, at the time Watergate happened, I was merely a baby. Don't blame me, I grew up in a Democratic household. But my mother liked Ford for being an average joe. Somehow methinks he was the first RINO Republican President.

We have a second one, of course, in the current administration. And I for one don't like it. Bush to me is NCE--Not Conservative Enough!

By Blogger The Real Bob Anthony, at 27 December, 2006 21:38

  • Too bad by the time the Bush Crime Family seized power, you only had the mind of a baby...

Is the little yellow bus here for PW, yet?

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 27 December, 2006 22:57

  • Roast in hell, Ford...you and your pardon of the filth.

And take the rest of your apostate flamelickers wid' ya!!

May be merit to be free of all Rethug murdering sick bastards in the speediest of times.

  • Nicely done, hash. Nicely done.

By Blogger JD, at 27 December, 2006 23:14

  • Who are YOU to talk?

I don't work for you! HA!

    Freedom of speech, babes....

    Old enough to remember?

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 27 December, 2006 23:19

  • Were you even alive during the Ford administration, hash?

By Blogger Snowed In, at 27 December, 2006 23:29

  • Yep, but not old enough to vote...

How about you, or are YOU going to claim to have served in the Korean War or some other useless endeavor?

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 27 December, 2006 23:33

  • Don't recall ever claiming to have served, sorry...and I was alive then, but not really aware of what was happening yet.

So you disagree, then, with the proposition that Ford's pardoning of Nixon allowed the nation to move on, rather to become inexorably bitter on both sides?

By Blogger Snowed In, at 27 December, 2006 23:46

  • I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE....Ford did NOTHING beneficial, and in fact simply laid the groundwork for further abuses and atrocities to occur, with absolutely no expectation or concern that THEY would face any sort of prosecution....

Rumsfeld and particularly Cheney, cut their teeth under Ford, and used the Nixon debacle as a pretext for disregarding the Constitution and the will of the American people and intent of the founding fathers with the evil concept of the "unitary executive"...setting the stage for a fascist dictatorship (guess) and the makings of a madman, head of the Bush Crime Family, and an array of actions DESIGNED to bring down the sovereignity of this nation, kill and murder both foreign nationals and our own troops for benefit of murky "alliances"....

Ford was a LOSER. He pushed useless, irrelevant legislation while our cities literally burned down around us.

He did NOTHING to help the nation recover from Nixon...utterly unprepared for foreign policy debate (Quote: "There is no Soviet dominance of Eastern Europe" in a debate with Carter) at the END OF HIS TERM....he was chosen particularly because his ineffectiveness was seen as "convenient"....a mere puppet of the elite, by default just another thug.

Yes, let's all flagellate ourselves over his loss. Really, let's pardon him, for establishing the culture utterly lacking in accountability and justice. That message....that crime and evil has no consequences..has done our culture SO much good.

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 December, 2006 00:02

  • You left the Democrat Underground DUmmies off your list of folks slamming Gerald Ford. Their hate-filled invectives are off-scale as you can see:

DUmmies Dance On Gerald Ford's Grave

    By Blogger PJ-Comix, at 28 December, 2006 07:24

  • Yeah, and so are your knuckle-dragging commenters.

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 28 December, 2006 08:08

  • Somehow methinks he was the first RINO Republican President.

Ford a RINO?? Not at all, Ford allowed the timor massacre to take place, hardly a "progressive". Ford edited the death description of Kennedy as well (covered in AP, largely ignored by MSM except a 3 paragraph story in AP). Again Ford admitted to changing the description of where the "first bullet" hit Kennedy. Wonder why? mmmmmmmmm???? I hear Nixon and Papa bush where in the area that day.............
Don't like what I'm getting at?
    TOO BAD
Ford is another complict murderous member of the Nixon-Bush crime family..

Sorry to rain on your celebration of a filthy criminal
