Even Insurgents Want Talk Radio Shut Down
Besides a hatred of all things Western, the American left and insurgents in Iraq have another thing in common: an urgent desire to shut down talk radio stations.
And in Iraq, they're busy ripping an independent, non-sectarian talker off the air through violence, according to news wire reports this afternoon. Radio Dijlah was founded in 2004 as the country's first non- government run outlet.

In this country, talk's enemies use lawyers, "civil rights" activists, politicians and advertiser pressure to undermine the medium, while it's done there at the point of a gun.

Gunmen Storm Iraqi Radio Station

BAGHDAD -- Gunmen stormed the offices of an independent radio station in a predominantly Sunni area of Baghdad on Thursday, killing two employees and wounding five before bombing the building and knocking the station off the air, police said.
It was the third attack in five months against the private Dijlah radio station in the Jami'a neighborhood.
Karim Youssef, the station's deputy director, said gunmen also tried to kidnap four employees as they were riding to work, but the driver managed to get away.
He said the two-story building then came under attack with rockets, rifles and hand grenades about 2:30 p.m.
AP Television News footage showed damaged furniture and bloodstains near the main gate.
"Our guards and the staff resisted the attackers for 30 minutes before evacuating the building," Youssef said, adding the attackers then detonated a bomb on the first floor that destroyed all the equipment, including the transmitter.
"Now the radio is not operating," he told The Associated Press by telephone. "We are an independent radio station ... They are targeting us because we are independent and we have no sectarian policy. Our news is balanced and we have employees from all sects and ethnic groups."

Savage last night talked about a group of ultra-left socialist politicos who want to pass HR 3302--The Media Ownership Reform Act of 2005. Why? One of the things included--A RETURN OF THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE!
The sponsor of this anti-American piece of crap legislation is Rep. Maurice Hinchey, a leftist Democrat from New York. He refused to appear on Savage's program--making him a coward of the highest level!
Look his fellow lefties Eliot Engel and even Chuck Schumer appeared on The Savage Nation--perhaps to the dismay of the brownshirts who may be some of Schumer's constituents.
Jeffrey Kuhner of Insight Magazine online lambastes this idea and puts it at the feet of one man--GEORGE SOROS!

If this is allowed to become law, expect a massive rally in DC.

Right wing talk show hosts as far as i'm concerned are terrorist enablers, the Iraq war has created terrorism world wide, therefore if your agenda of promoting the Bush agenda enables terrorism, not only should you be silenced, you should be arrested
