Clear Channel Responds To Rush Protest Letter From Senate Democrats

TAKE A HIKE

Anti-Rush Letter Fails To Intimidate Clear Channel CEO

*** NEW POST: Selective Editing An Old Lefty Trick ***

Has Thuggish Clodfather Harry Reid just lost a major battle on two fronts?

First, his widely- publicized anti- Rush protest letter to Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays attained only 41 signatures from Senate Democrats.

With a number of senators from his own party refusing to sign it (not to mention the lack of even a single Republican member crossing over), clear weaknesses in his leadership have been exposed for all to see. That's not the sign of a powerful leader.

In addition, far from hiding under his San Antonio- based desk, Mays has held firm in his response, letting Reid know he isn't the slightest bit afraid of the Clodfather From Searchlight.

In fact, he pretty much told Harry and Company to take a hike.

Let's get real: what was Mays supposed to do, cancel his most popular and profitable programing just to replace him with more money- losing liberal talk radio?

That brings us to the big question: did Reid really believe he could damage Rush's standing with his employer? Based on what your Radio Equalizer revealed yesterday regarding his past strong- arm tactics against talk radio in Nevada, the answer may actually be yes!

Given a general consensus out there that this was a mere stunt, that theory might seem hard to swallow, but it fits with his past behavior a bit too well.

Yes, he most certainly does want to deflect attention away from his party's clear leadership weaknesses. But your Radio Equalizer is convinced Reid overestimated his own stature and influence, wrongly believing Mays would be sufficiently scared by the thought of future legislation adverse to his company's interests that he'd take action against Rush. It proved a key miscalculation.

First, here's Reid's letter to Mays:

October 2, 2007

Mr. Mark P. Mays
CEO, Clear Channel Communications Inc.
200 East Basse Road
San Antonio, TX 78209

Dear Mr. Mays,

At the time we sign this letter, 3,808 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq, and another 28,009 have been wounded. 160,000 others awoke this morning on foreign sand, far from home, to face the danger and uncertainty of another day at war.

Although Americans of goodwill debate the merits of this war, we can all agree that those who serve with such great courage deserve our deepest respect and gratitude. That is why Rush Limbaugh’s recent characterization of troops who oppose the war as “phony soldiers” is such an outrage.

Our troops are fighting and dying to bring to others the freedoms that many take for granted. It is unconscionable that Mr. Limbaugh would criticize them for exercising the fundamentally American right to free speech. Mr. Limbaugh has made outrageous remarks before, but this affront to our soldiers is beyond the pale.

The military, like any community within the United States, includes members both for and against the war. Senior generals, such as General John Batiste and Paul Eaton, have come out against the war while others have publicly supported it. A December 2006 poll conducted by the Military Times found just 35 percent of service members approved of President Bush’s handling of the war in Iraq, compared to 42 percent who disapproved. From this figure alone, it is clear that Mr. Limbaugh’s insult is directed at thousands of American service members.

Active and retired members of our armed forces have a unique perspective on the war and offer a valuable contribution to our national debate. In August, seven soldiers wrote an op-ed expressing their concern with the current strategy in Iraq. Tragically, since then, two of those seven soldiers have made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq.

Thousands of active troops and veterans were subjected to Mr. Limbaugh’s unpatriotic and indefensible comments on your broadcast. We trust you will agree that not a single one of our sons, daughters, neighbors and friends serving overseas is a “phony soldier.” We call on you to publicly repudiate these comments that call into question their service and sacrifice and to ask Mr. Limbaugh to apologize for his comments.

Sincerely,

Senator Harry Reid, Majority Leader
Senator Richard Durbin, Assistant Majority Leader
Senator Charles Schumer, Vice Chairman, Democratic Conference
Senator Patty Murray, Secretary, Democratic Conference

To see the response from Mays, follow this link to the Politico. It will quickly become apparent to you that Mays hasn't given Reid an inch, instead making the Senate Majority Leader look like a fool. Going further, the Clear Channel CEO even defended Rush, pointing to his past work on behalf of veterans.

FOX News has the best analysis here:

Mark P. Mays, president of Clear Channel, the parent company of Limbaugh's broadcast, on Tuesday responded to a letter signed by 41 Democrats that called on the network "to publicly repudiate" comments made by Limbaugh "that call into question" the service and sacrifice of troops who oppose the war in Iraq.

"Mr. Limbaugh's comments have stirred a lot of emotion, and I have carefully read the transcript in question," Mays wrote. "Given Mr. Limbaugh's history of support for our soldiers, it would be unfair for me to assume his statements were intended to personally indict combat soldiers simply because they didn't share his own beliefs regarding the war in Iraq.

"I hope that you understand and support my position that while I certainly do not agree with all the views that are voiced on our stations, I will not condemn our talent for exercising their right to voice them," he wrote.

Mays' letter came after Limbaugh ratcheted up his criticism of Democratic lawmakers Tuesday, calling efforts by Democrats in Congress to target him as a diversion meant to distract supporters from their failed efforts to get out of Iraq.

In an attack that began with the first words of the show and continued throughout his daily three-hour broadcast Tuesday, Limbaugh compared Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, claimed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is using a liberal media watchdog to suppress her opposition and said he feels sorry for Sen. Tom Harkin's family for having to be associated with the Iowa Democrat's statements on the Senate floor a day earlier.

He then said the attacks aren't really about him personally.

"It's about them and they are desperately trying to salvage themselves with their own lunatic fringe base who they are not only disappointing but they are deceiving because the dirty, little secret, as I also predicted, was that if the Democrats win the White House in '08 they are not pulling out of Iraq. All the top tier Democrats have said so," Limbaugh told his audience.

"Time to distract those peasants with pitchforks out there who are fit to be tied over being betrayed by Harry Reid, (House Speaker) Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats," he said.

The conservative talk radio host was fighting back after Democratic lawmakers in the House and Senate lambasted him over remarks he made last week suggesting veterans who oppose the Iraq war are "phony soldiers."

In the House, Rep. Mark Udall, D-Colo., who is running for the open Senate seat in his state, has authored a resolution condemning the host. Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has not decided whether or not he'll bring it up for a vote, his staff told FOX News.

On Tuesday, Hoyer tried to draw comparisons between the Limbaugh attack and GOP efforts last week to condemn ads by MoveOn.org that suggested Gen. David Petraeus, head of Multinational Forces in Iraq, had betrayed the United States by giving Congress a semi-positive report on the result of the troop surge there.

Meanwhile, as Michelle Malkin points out, the renewed effort to remove Rush from Armed Forces Radio is still moving forward, this time picking up support from former Dem presidential candidate Wesley Clark.

In the end, it's the American people who are truly losing out here. When Reid and Senate Democrats waste time fighting over talk radio content, they aren't dealing with a number of pressing issues that face our country today.

And beyond our borders, your Radio Equalizer can think of a number of matters that deserve our government's time and attention. Here are three:

-- How can we allow dictators in Burma to get away with murdering thousands of Buddhist monks in cold blood?

-- African Union peacekeepers are being slaughtered in Darfur.

-- What is sneaky KGB man Vladimir Putin up to now?

Aren't these issues more pressing than writing complaint letters about talk radio programming? In Harry Reid's world, thuggish attempts at Chavez- style "reform" are apparently far more important.

  • Brian, the graphics you use are usually cheesy and third-rate, but that "Clodfather" one was HI-LAR-IOUS for a change!

Now, Reid and Mays went about their respective jobs, sent out their requisite letters, and publicized them.

    Duty done.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Absolutely nothing incorrect, nothing any person in the business would find unusual.

Reid's letter was right on target, and Mays's was exactly what he had to write, in his position.

No real controversy or sensationalism here....which begs the question, why would you post it? Mmmmm......

By Blogger hashfanatic, at 03 October, 2007 00:59

  • of course there are issues which need to be addressed that carry more important consequences for the american people, but this issue is very important because it shows once again that the right wing cares more about rhetoric than real opinions and more about themselves than the soldiers sacrificing their lives for everyone else. rush was not referring to jesse macbeth, but to any soldier that does not blindly support this 'war.' only an idiot can take what he said as anything else and only a liar would say so.

  • Brian said: Mays hasn't given Reid an inch, instead making the Senate Majority Leader look like a fool.

May sent a great letter slamming Reid. Or course making Reid look like a fool is not difficult, since 80%+ of the Americans already recognize "Reid the Surrender Monkey" as a fool.

Do you agree with what Rush said yesterday, the vets in the votevets advertisment are like brainwashed suicide bombers?

Rush is implying that 70% of this country, who want to scale back funding for the war are also brainwashed suicide bombers....

I suppose Benson, you agree with this, after all any soldier who speaks up is simply brainwashed right??????

I have never seen anything so sick in my life, these wing nuts are taking Limbaugh over the troops

By Blogger Minister of Propaganda, at 03 October, 2007 09:20

  • internet research, if you really want to see something sick, just take a gander at how the Kossacks and DUmmies talk about the soldiers. You've got a real problem out in NutrootsLand with the military, and trying to distort Limbaugh's statements compared to everything he's said in the past is like a cat trying to cover shit on conrete -- nothing's going to happen, but it'll keep you and the cat busy, and in your case might just possibly distract a few people from the nutroots actual practices.

you worthless wing nut, defending Limbaugh over the troops, the main writer of Kss supports the troops, what the right does, is point to a comments section of the blog and determine KOS hates the troops, most of the Anti-troops posts on KOS are Republicans pretendong to be Liberals, we know your old game, we getr what you do.

We all know what Limbaugh meant, Limbagh took himself out of context to prove his point. Media matters posted the entire conversation including Jesse McBeth.......

Keep it up, it is pathetic as can be. Olberman exposed howLimbaigh edited his own transcript last night, HYSTERICAL SHIT

Why did Limbagh edit his own transcript????????????

Nobody can answer why he editied his own transcript.

Look cons if you never attacked move on, Limbaugh would not be in the news, tit for tat.

Limbaugh should thank media matters, becides the irrelevant shriking base that listens to him, nobody else is anymore....... Limbaugh should kiss the ass of David Brock.

By Blogger Minister of Propaganda, at 03 October, 2007 11:11

  • Brian: For a change, I agree with you. This is an overblown issue and, as you wrote, Congress has far better things to do.

That said, however, why didn't you offer a similar critique of Republican congressmen and (more relevantly) talk show hosts -- who spent tons of time on the MoveOn.org ad about Petreus? Double standard?

Which part? The part that disingenously refers to Rush's comment out of context, or the part calling for restrictions on free speech? Reid is an embarrassment to the Democrats. If they hold on to the Senate in 08 look for a challenge to his leadership.

    internet research wrote:

Idiot or liar? Based on the facts, Internet research would appear to be one or the other.

Limbaugh's original reference to phony soliders came up in the context of a discussion about opposition, but Limbaugh's comment was a response to the caller's statement about soliders being pulled "out of the blue." After briefly wrapping things up with the caller (the 95 seconds Media Matters whined about, even though it was inconsequential to the point - unlike the several minutes MSNBC, Olbermann, etc. left out), Limbaugh elaborated, discussing Jesse MacBeth (really using him as an example of the strange phenomenon of people claiming to be combat veterans and then the anti-war left using them to smear the behavior of soldiers in general). That's called elaboration, for those unfamiliar with basic rhetorical practice.

If Limbaugh had truly meant to disparage real soliders who opposed the war, why talk about MacBeth in detail? why not simply complain about the opinions of the war opponents.

It's internet research's take that is either dishonest or failing the logical sniff test. Calling others liars and idiots to cover up a basic failure to comprehend a relatively straightforward rhetorical statement is pretty embarrassing. However, you're in good company. I can think of two Senators and one Minister of propaganda (aptly named though) who should be just as embarrassed.

There are lots of areas for discussion and disagreement regarding Iraq. That this has become one of them is a testimony to the weakness of the radical left in regards to the potential solutions that will be implemented.

By Blogger The Analyst, at 03 October, 2007 12:28

  • One other detail -

Limbaugh edited his own transcript for time's sake. As any casual reader of the full transcript will note, the missing portion (unlike the larger portion left out by the MSM and MSNBC in particular) doesn't change the context in any appreciable way. Media Matters attempts to focus on that missing portion (and not on the MSM's far more grevious application of editing) are as dishonest as their "interpretation" of the remarks.

Limbuagh has said things that have made me cringe before. This wasn't even close to being one of them. It's a phony controversy.

  • Amatuer Analysst, prepare to be humiliated and exposed:

Limbagh cut a full 2 munites out to make it look as if he was directly talking about Mcbeth, you are so radical, so Anti-american, you continue to humiliate the radical right, YES your side are the radical Federalists. 75% of this country wants the war defunded as per the Washinton post poll yesterday, you are a federalsit. you hate representative government, the government is bot ruling for the people. 75% want out. We are not the radicals, you are. And as of today 28% of the country are still registered Republicans, your the radical now.

Now for the fun. entire transcript.

LIMBAUGH: You are -- you are --

    CALLER 1: I am definitely a Republican.

LIMBAUGH: You can't be a Republican. You are --

CALLER 1: Oh, I am definitely a Republican.

LIMBAUGH: You are tarnishing the reputation, 'cause you sound just like a Democrat.

    CALLER 1: No, but --

LIMBAUGH: The answer to your question --

CALLER 1: -- seriously, how long do we have to stay there --

LIMBAUGH: As long as it takes!

CALLER 1: -- to win it? How long?

LIMBAUGH: As long as it takes! It is very serious.

CALLER 1: And that is what?

LIMBAUGH: This is the United States of America at war with Islamofascists. We stay as long -- just like your job. You do everything you have to do, whatever it takes to get it done, if you take it seriously.

CALLER 1: So then you say we need to stay there forever --

    LIMBAUGH: I -- it won't --

    CALLER 1: -- because that's what it'll take.

LIMBAUGH: No, Bill, or Mike -- I'm sorry. I'm confusing you with the guy from Texas.

CALLER 1: See, I -- I've used to be military, OK? And I am a Republican.

    LIMBAUGH: Yeah. Yeah.

CALLER 1: And I do live [inaudible] but --

LIMBAUGH: Right. Right. Right, I know.

CALLER 1: -- you know, really -- I want you to be saying how long it's gonna take.

LIMBAUGH: And I, by the way, used to walk on the moon!

CALLER 1: How long do we have to stay there?

LIMBAUGH: You're not listening to what I say. You can't possibly be a Republican. I'm answering every question. That's not what you want to hear, so it's not even penetrating your little wall of armor you've got built up.

Limbaugh's "phony soldiers" comment and his subsequent discussion of MacBeth are below:

LIMBAUGH: Another Mike, this one in Olympia, Washington. Welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER 2: Hi Rush, thanks for taking my call.

    LIMBAUGH: You bet.

CALLER 2: I have a retort to Mike in Chicago, because I am a serving American military, in the Army. I've been serving for 14 years, very proudly.

    LIMBAUGH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER 2: And, you know, I'm one of the few that joined the Army to serve my country, I'm proud to say, not for the money or anything like that. What I would like to retort to is that, if we pull -- what these people don't understand is if we pull out of Iraq right now, which is about impossible because of all the stuff that's over there, it'd take us at least a year to pull everything back out of Iraq, then Iraq itself would collapse, and we'd have to go right back over there within a year or so. And --

LIMBAUGH: There's a lot more than that that they don't understand. They can't even -- if -- the next guy that calls here, I'm gonna ask him: Why should we pull -- what is the imperative for pulling out? What's in it for the United States to pull out? They can't -- I don't think they have an answer for that other than, "Well, we just gotta bring the troops home."

CALLER 2: Yeah, and, you know what --

LIMBAUGH: "Save the -- keep the troops safe" or whatever. I -- it's not possible, intellectually, to follow these people.

CALLER 2: No, it's not, and what's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.

    LIMBAUGH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER 2: The phony soldiers. If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to serve. They want to be over in Iraq. They understand their sacrifice, and they're willing to sacrifice for their country.

LIMBAUGH: They joined to be in Iraq. They joined --

CALLER 2: A lot of them -- the new kids, yeah.

LIMBAUGH: Well, you know where you're going these days, the last four years, if you signed up. The odds are you're going there or Afghanistan or somewhere.

CALLER 2: Exactly, sir. And -- and my other comment was -- and the reason I was calling for -- was to report to Jill about the fact that we didn't, didn't find any weapons of mass destruction. Actually, we have found weapons of mass destruction in chemical agents that [inaudible] been using against us for awhile now.

I've done two tours in Iraq. I just got back in June and there were many instances of -- since [inaudible] not know what they're using in their IEDs [improvised explosive devices]. They're using mustard artillery rounds. The vx-artillery rounds in their IEDs.

Because they didn't know what they were using, they didn't do it right, and so it just kind of -- it, it didn't really hurt anybody but there are -- those munitions are over there, it's just -- it's a huge desert. If they've buried it somewhere, we're never gonna find it.

LIMBAUGH: Well, you know, that's a moot point for me right now --

    MIKE: Rush --

LIMBAUGH: -- the weapons of mass destruction. We gotta get beyond that. We're, we're there. What -- who cares if, if -- we all know they were there and, and Mahmoud [Ahmadinejad, Iranian president] even admitted it in one of his speeches here about -- talkin' about Saddam using the poison mustard gas or whatever it is on his own people -- but that, that's moot, right? What, what's more important is all this is taking place now in the midst of the surge working.

And all of these anti-war Democrats are getting even more hell-bent on pulling out of there, which means that success on the part of you and, and your colleagues over there is, is a great threat to them. It's just, it's frustrating and maddening, and it is why they must be kept in the minority.

Look, I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much. I gotta -- let me see -- got something -- here is a "Morning Update" that we did recently talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. And they have their celebrities.

One of them was Jesse MacBeth. Now, he was a "corporal," I say in quotes - 23 years old.

[reading from "Morning Update" (subscription required)]

What made Jesse MacBeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn't his Purple Heart. It wasn't his being affiliated with post traumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, though. What made Jesse MacBeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage in their view off the battlefield.

Without regard to consequences, he told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq: American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account translated into Arabic and spread widely across the internet, Army Ranger Jesse MacBeth describes the horrors this way:

'We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque.'

Now, recently, Jesse MacBeth, a poster boy for the anti-war left, had his day in court, and you know what? He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs' claim and his Army discharge record.

He was in the Army. Jesse MacBeth was in the Army, folks, briefly -- 44-days before he washed out of boot camp. Jesse MacBeth isn't an Army Ranger. Never was. He isn't a corporal. Never was. He never won the Purple Heart and he was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen."

You probably haven't even heard about this, and if you have, you haven't heard much about it. This doesn't fit the narrative and the template of the drive-by media and the Democrat Party as to who a genuine war hero is.

Don't look for any retractions, by the way, not from the anti-war left, the anti-military drive-by media or the Arabic websites that spread Jesse MacBeth's lies about our troops, because the truth of the left is fiction, is what serves their purpose. They have to lie about such atrocities 'cause they can't find any that fit the template of the way they see the U.S. military.

In other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience they face is the truth.

Now what the filthy pig edited out

CALLER 2: Exactly, sir. And -- and my other comment was -- and the reason I was calling for -- was to report to Jill about the fact that we didn't, didn't find any weapons of mass destruction. LIMBAUGH: Well, you know, that's a moot point for me right now --

    Senator,

I find it appalling that you would take time out of your busy political life to "condemn" Rush Limbaugh.

Is all the rest of your work done? Is it really time to play stupid games like this?

Seeing you mention in the letter to Clear Channel president Mr. Mays that "At the time we sign this letter, 3,808 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq, and another 28,009 have been wounded. 160,000 others awoke this morning on foreign sand, far from home, to face the danger and uncertainty of another day at war." is insane.

Who in the world voted for authorization to go to war? I know you , Senator Feinstein voted to give George Bush his blank check.

As of the writing of that useless letter, yes, soldiers are dying. For a war you voted for. Good job.

  • Minister of Propaganda,

Congratulations, your response to me has to be the longest example of personal impotency in a comments section that I've ever witnessed. I do appreciate you posting the entire accurate transcript (which - FYI - I read long before my original post). Now people can read it and decide for themselves, and wonder to themselves just what the hell people on your side of this are thinking.

The 95 seconds (which by my addition doesn't equal 2 minutes, but that's just me being Spock) don't change the context of what Limbaugh said. Half of that time was spent letting the caller go on and the other half was simply responding to those specifics.

As I wrote before, and it really is an obvious point, Limbaugh brought up Jesse MacBeth to clarify the context of the phony soldiers remark. You can spin that anyway you want until doomsday and it won't make a bit of difference. Limbaugh clarified the remark. He did it before any criticism, mere moments after the phrase came up, and his elaboration is pretty straightforward. Besides, your basic obvious hatred for Limbaugh and anyone who sticks up for him, I can't for the life of me understand why someone would get so invested in such a loser of an argument.

All the insulting, vile, trollesque rhetorical bile you can vomit up, however colorful, won't change that for a second.

Humiliated and exposed? MoP, your post makes me look like a judo master, turning your own clumsy force upon yourself with extremely effective results. With all due respect, rhetorically, you're pretty much laid out flat on your ass right now.

I now await the predictable, pathological, obscenity-laced response. Go ahead, for all the good it will do your argument (and I use the word loosely),if it makes you feel any better. Not that I can prevent that.

  • Paraphrasing the Mop (minus his usual misspellings):

Keep trying to smear Limbaugh, you vile Anti-American freak.

The government is supposed to represent all of us, not just the 2% pansies who want to surrender to Al-Qaeda immediately. You worship the days of Stalin's purges. Representative govt is an anathema to you.

You're the fringe. Stop pretending anyone cares about your views.

YOU ARE THE FRINGE. IT IS TIME the 80% (PEOPLE WITH COMMON SENSE) RISE UP AND START PUTTING YOU COMMUNISTS IN YOUR PLACE.

    OUT OF AMERICA!

  • The wacko left cannot fathom how their smear attempt has backfired and how it really appears to Americans (at least, the ones with common sense). It will be great if the left continues to promote the issue. It just highlights the idiocy of the self-centered spineless Democrats.

Anyone who has listened to Rush knows he didn't slander anti-war soldiers. The story was an attempt by the left to change the subject from the MoveOn.org sleasy advertisement (with over half the cost illegally subsidized by the New York Times). The MoveOn.org ad has permanently branded the Senate Democrats as anti-military.

This is just like Dick Durbin's dispicable comparison of American troops to Nazis, the Soviets or Pol Pot.

Another example is John Kerry's recent slam on the intelligence and capabilities of the troops that led to the famous photo from Iraq.

Americans have again seen the vile demon that the Democrats have evolved into. It is a group of hard-left wackos, vulgar and profane bloggers, spineless Democrat Senators and a know-nothing Media. It has becomes a mass of seething hate, from the imbecile Harry Reid, to the Code Pinkers to Tom Harkin, Media Matters, HuffPo, and KOS.

IF if was directly refering to Mcbeth, as you claim, why did he edit the replaying of the entire event, and lie to the audience claiming he was playing the entire segment???? IF he never edited it, nobody would care anymore. He lied to his listeners, l;ike he does everyday. He did not re-play the entire segment, but he told the listenrs he was playing the entire thing. HE LIED, like he does everyday. IF it was so clear that he was talking about McBeth, why did he edit and why did he lie??????

Anyone with an ounce of common sense understood exactly what he said. You are blinded with your love of this filthy, ignorant pig. Simple as that. The only ones defending him are indoctrinated dittoheads, look in the mirror.

If you don't like my language , look no furthur than the scum representing the right on the radio. IF they can threaten liberals and question MY PATRIOTISM, I can do the same thing. You do not control the language, if Coulter can do it, SO CAN I, if Savage can spout HATE, so can I. When they stop, I will stop. Im teaching you a lesson, you do not own the language. Your sick side are not the only ones who can question others patriotism. I will continue to give you freaks the same kind of respect your mouthpieces show the left, NONE.

    Do you get it now??????????

I will not sit here silent as Coulter and the rest insult the VAST MAJORITY OF THIS COUNTRY, who are NOT far right moonbats. The days of right wing bully tatics are over, I HIT BACK, my name is not Alan Colmes, I hit back only harder.
For 20 years, the radical right has spewed hatred on the radio, I HIT BACK, Im not Alan Colmes, I give you degenrate Anti-American scumbags a taste of your own language, and you can not handle it.

Conservatives are unpatriotic, conservatism is a mental disorder, conservatives love the terrorists, conservatives hate the troops..........

I just toook out the word LIBERAL and substituted it with conservative.
They deliver HATE, I return it.

Deal with it, I'm not Alan Colmes

no civility with the same crown that questioned MY PATRIOTISM for 20 YEARS.

    It's not a 1 way street
    You don't control the language
I will continue to introduce the same language the right has used for 20 years , and turn it on you. I sat and listened to the insults of the right long enough, I fight back, this is why I do my radio shoe, I'm fighting back, and will continue to fight back.

I WILL FIGHT BACK, I WILL FIGHT BACK AND WILL DO IT EVERY DAY.
LOOK IN THE MIRROR, THIS IS YOUR DOING, YOU FILTHY TRAITOR.

YOU WIL NOT GET AWAY WIT HIT ANYMORE
I STAND UP FOR the 70% WHEN I INSULT THE RIGHT

    SOMEBODY HAS TO DO IT

  • Speaking of the Anti-merican, mentally ill conservative Limbaugh, who hates the troops, hates America and loves the terrorists ( AGAIN YOU HAVE DONE IT FOR 20 YEARS, I WILL DO THE SAME FUCKING THING. I HIT BACK, I FIGHT BACK, I'M FROM BROOKLYN).

remember this gold from the ignorant drop out....

A caller was against the war and said he was a N.C.O in the Army.

The ignorant PIG man, who knows nothing about the military, said an N.C.O, is a non-combat officer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and N.C.O is the exact oppisite, a non comissioned officer, meaning one most likely to be in combat

See what an ignorant piece of human excrement Limbaugh is.

He is so ignorant, he does not even no what a non comissioned offier is!!! Non combat officer!!! What an ignorant piece of excrement, in this case he was trying to insult the caller, and it backfired

Proud of the pig man?? Does not even know what the troops who get killed in combat are called, they are N.C.O
non-comsiioned officers, more likely to be sent to fight.
The pig man did not know this

    and you listen to him?

I know I'm a lot smarter than the pig man
I outclass him in every respect, only I never sucked another man's penis to get a job, and I wont EVER

  • MoP,

You're not very good at this are you. I mean, you have the whole, incoherent ranting troll thing down very nicely and I must commend you for that (the accomplishment - I'll leave the moral censure to others here), but you've omitted the whole shred of reason that the best trolls include in their rants, just to leave people guessing.

While it makes for entertaining reading for the Code Monkeys crowd, it's pretty desperate sounding to those of us who actually enjoy prolonged use of the cerebellum now and then.

I'll write this again, just for general reference since you're not paying attention to anything like factual details or basic reasoning principles. The part of the clip Rush omitted from the relevant passage of the program doesn't in any way, not even after the loftiest coke binge or JB session, change the context of how Rush used the "phony soldiers" remark. He clarified it, without solicitation (that means "he wasn't asked," in case you're wondering) and put it into the context in which he clearly meant it.

Your extended, highly neurotic blather about the omission of the 95 seconds wouldn't matter, even if it was 95 seconds of silence. If you're capable and currently sober (just a guess, mind you), ask yourself this: If Rush meant the term "phony soldiers" to directly refer to military veterans of the Iraq conflict who opposed US policy, why didn't he continue on in that vein? It's a three-hour show. Rush does extended monologues all the time. Why turn to Jesse MacBeth a mere few moments later and talk about the phenomenon of people who exaggerate or falsify their past to make dishonest claims about the military?

The grown-ups among us would conclude that he didn't go there because he wasn't saying that. It seems as though that's hard to live with for you. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, no matter how much you lather up the comments section here, that's what reasonable people are left with. If you want to believe otherwise, as SpongeBob one said, "Good luck with that."

Finally, quite frankly I loved the rant about how Rush, in one particular instance, misspoke regarding the definition of NCO's. I had no idea that only NCO's get killed in combat. I should be glad that my dad, a 30 year veteran of the Air Force, and a retired CMS got out of there alive, like all the officers and enlisted men.

MoP, feel free to continue. Like the saying goes, if the opposition is digging themselves a hole, hand 'em a shovel. Heck, you write like someone with their very own rhetorical steam shovel.

  • Anakyst said:I had no idea that only NCO's get killed in combat

Did I say that? NCO' re more likely to be sent to combat, Limbaugh did not even know what an NCO. He tried to de-mean the caller saying an "NCO was a non combat officer", as in the caller does not support the war, because he never fought in combat, of course the pig man was humiliated on his own show when corrected..... H is filth, you are filth for defending him, the military does not want the support of the radical right, they want to come home, they do care about a socially inept piece of crap, who is a known sex tourist coustomer, known drug addict, 3 times dovorced, socially inept, creep, supporting the endless occupation in Iraq and questioning others patriotism who want to end the war. He did it to Vote vets.org as well, calling them suicide bombers because they are against the war, in his world a soldier who thinks must be brainwashed by the "anti war" left. The only brainwashed are you and his listeners

and the military does not support the pig man. Deal with it, the entire nation is turning left, including the military.

Will the pig man debate someone from vote vets?

    OF CORSE NOT
HE WILL NOT FACE A REAL SOLDIER FACE TO FACE ON HIS SHOW

    you defend the indefeisible

Limbaugh hates troops who do not support the war, he hates them because they think, he hates thinking and hates debating.

    The essance of the "dittohead"
concept is one who listens to the pig man, wwithout thinking, as oin your brain is replacedwith a ditto.
How dare you insult me, dittohead
you do not even have a mind of your own.

and you defending him, speaks loudly about who you are.
A pompus, arrogant, prick. YOu have to be a low life to listen to a low life

Listen to yourself defend this filthy degenerate's words. GET on your knees boy, suck your master's wang, you filthy traitor

You defend Limbaugh like he is your own blood, your brainwashed, the ditto replaced your brain

    Sad
I have never seen anything this sad, this guy is on his knees, twisting away, DEFENDING the filthy pig's words, listen to him defend Limbaugh.
Instead of defending America, you defend Limbaugh

Patriotic America, rejects you and your filthy lover Limbaugh

grow up, dump the ditto, grow your brain back. YOu might have to go to a cult recovery group, your clearly brainwashed by Limbaugh.

i pity you, you are lost in a land of ditto
