Bill O'Reilly Airs Segment On Malloy - Perino Threat
IGNORE OR UNDERSCORE?
Why Unhinged Leftists Deserve Our Attention
Should conservatives ignore or highlight wacky statements made by their political foes?
As part of a debate that has continued behind the scenes for years, some on the right believe the excesses of their enemies don't deserve public attention.
Among other reasons, this sentiment exists because some fear leftists will then use conservatives to prop up their own individual standings within the "progressive" movement.
But there's another school of thought, to which your Radio Equalizer clearly subscribes: go ahead, let the nut get his (or her) 15 minutes of fame, the damage he's doing to the leftist movement as a whole is worth the risk of personal advancement.
While there may occasionally be exceptions, most of the time, this approach works well. So what if this week's "progressive" kook gets a temporary career boost? The nuttier their movement looks, the quicker it will implode.
Unfortunately, many conservatives disagree and as a result, some of the left's nuttiest rhetoric fails to get the proper airing it deserves. And when that happens, the Democrats get away with portraying themselves as "mainstream", without being held to account for the actions of their fringe elements.
After last week's comments by liberal talk host Mike Malloy, the debate reemerged. Should his on-air "violence fantasies" against White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino be ignored or spread across television and the Internet?
After your Radio Equalizer captured Malloy's audio and posted it to YouTube, it was interesting to see where it spread and where it didn't. Some on the right who consider their sites too highbrow ignored the controversy, while others such as Hot Air were all over it.
Never one to fear infuriating the left, Bill O'Reilly took the controversy a step further, examining whether Malloy had broken any laws. The result was one of his most informative segments in some time.
Captured for YouTube by his enemies, here's the clip:
Predictably, Malloy was thrilled to know his liberal talk show had been covered by a program people actually watch. Here's some of his on-air reaction (by the way, Mike, the photo came from your own website):
Yes, Mike Malloy got some much- needed publicity and to some on the conservative side, that's unacceptable. But to others, including yours truly, the more important point is that his words damage the larger "progressive" cause, since he's calling for violence against Perino without the slightest provocation. He sounds like a lunatic.
Isn't the bigger picture more important? Some conservatives are so wedded to the idea that the unhinged left should be ignored that we shouldn't expect to win this battle anytime soon.
But it's worth taking an occasional stab nonetheless, isn't it? A little bit of pain for a big gain.

MALLOY: I don't know where he got the picture, but that picture of me that he put up on the screen was taken 20 years ago, oh my God, when I was a young person. (big laugh) You go, O'Reilly, you sick son of a bitch, thanks for the publicity!
[...]
What a lot of waste of human DNA O'Reilly is ... Bill O'Reilly, this scum-sucking twit.
[...]
PRODUCER KATHY MALLOY: We oughta invite him on the show.
MALLOY: No, no, I don't invite half-wits, demons, devils or twits.

These cretins need to be exposed, Brian, and every time a scumbag like Malloy goes off like this, somebody should say something.
Yeah, it gives him undeserved attention, but in the long run I don't see how it helps him to have more people observe how disgusting he is.

I gotta go with the "let them rot in bitter obscurity" approach in this case - after all we're talking about a nobody on at night on Air America, most of whose flea-watt AM affiliates are broadcasting with the power of a Betty Crocker oven light bulb at the hour he's on.
He's a sad, bitter talk show host. Really, who cares? When you can roll sound from Dingy Harry Reed or Hillary or Nancy Pelosi saying something asinine with our tax dollars clenched in their fists, isn't that more important than some late-night show on an unrated network?
Perspective, please. Let's not confuse Malloy with anything relevant. O'Reilly must be getting desperate.

Mike Malloy is a moron and so are his listeners. He does represent the extreme left idiots very well. He needs to be highlighted by the right.
By pf1, at 13 November, 2007 00:54
If Mike Malloy is broadcast on 12 stations, this means something VERY important Malloy practically has more listeners than FOX has viewers. 1.5 to 2 million a night is all FOX musters up on cable T.V. I have to keep reminding you wing nutys that 99.99.999.99% of this country does not watch FOX news. Out of 301,139,947(as of July 2007) people in America, 1.5- 2 million watch O'riley. A FRESH reminder , you crack pots are pretty irrelevant in the REAL WORLD
Nothing Malloy said is worse than the recent Michael Savage remarks.
See you are projecting again Brian. Malloy is expressing what over 80% of this country thinks about the GOP and the Bush administration. Malloy attacks dirty politicians, while Savage threatens people who are innocent and not politicians.
Here is some recent gold fromn the unhinger radical, Anti-American right wing darling, Savage
Savage responding to a caller who complained a "liberal looking lesbian" asked him why he is listening to Hate radio (Savage)
Well, what does that tell you about the loving, kind lesbian who just assaulted you in your car? She's a -- the type that stuffed ovens in Hitler's concentration camps. Whenever I hear anyone preaching to me about how compassionate they are, I reach for my Glock
In other words, when somebody defends Lesbians, he GETS HIS GLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PROUD Maloney? that is your side. kill those who do not hate lesbians.
Malloy is more unhinged? Again Malloy is expressing how most people in this country feel about the GOP, America HATES THEM, got it???? does a 25% approval rating, an 10% approval rating for the minority in congress and a drop in GOP enrollment to an all time low of 25% - 26% tell you something?
Malloy is more in line, with mainstream thinking of America, frustrated and sick to death of the GOP's destruction of America.
Need more Savage? THIS IS ACTUAL HATE SPEECH:
SAVAGE: Yee-haw! This is the America -- this is the America that those Islamic-fascist, robe-wearing, throwback bums have never seen! Let's get it on! Let's bring it on! Bomb Iran, bring our boys home now! Bomb Iran, bring our boys home now! Bomb Iran, bring our boys home now! Let's get it on! Bomb Iran, bring our boys home now! Wipe Hezbollah out of America! Cut the tentacles of Iran off! Cut the tentacles of that octopus off now! Get every hunter in America armed to the teeth! Throwback bastards! I'm so sick of them! I'm so sick of the brainwashing about Islam and Muslims and the Koran! Shove it! Shove it all! I'm sick of it!
Take the music off. I have never lived through a brainwashing like I've lived through for the last five years. Every day, another story sweet-selling Islam and the Koran. It goes in the face, it's so counter-intuitive. Wherever you look on the Earth, there's a bomb going off or a car going up in flames, and it's Muslims screaming for the blood of Christians, or Jews, or anyone they hate. And every day we're told the opposite here.
Everything we know to be true, we're told, "Oh, don't believe what your mind tells you, believe what the diversity trainers tell you. Believe what the government tells you. It's a religion of peace." Well why don't they prove it's a religion of peace? Why don't they put down their hateful little book for a few minutes, and tell us why, when we pick up their hateful little book -- I can read chapter and verse, I can see what it says, in their book of hate.
It says that if you see a stranger, who is not a Muslim, either convert him or kill him. You want me to quote the Sutra? I'll quote the Sutra! Page after page after page is about religion -- a religion that teaches convert or kill. A religion that says oppress women, kill homosexuals, kill the Jew, kill the Christian, kill the infidel.
There is the darling of the right, Mr."Libs are mentally ill" Savage spitting on an entire religion of 2 billion people............
and Malloy is the problem?
again 12%ers, Malloy is expressing what the VAST majority of Amerians think. Deal with it, clinton left office with a HUGE approval rating, America loved him (I DID NOT)
The Repukes and your ideology of fear, hate and "piss your pants, Muslims are comming" will never be accepted in America. The right has to cheat disenfranchise voters, have the supreme court appoint them, use shady electronic voting machines, cage voters (take them off lists), challange voters, short machines in Demoratic areas, and intimidate those on line to vote in order to WIN.
When everyone votes.......
YOU ARE REJECTED
Understand this, you are the minority, always will be, and any victory gained after the Reagan/Bush era was STOLEN.
After Reagan sold out America, conservatism was REJECTED.
You need to create an illusion that conservative ideology is popular in America..... it is not.... it is rejected.........
I speak the truth, I mingle with the commons. This is the realtity. NOBODY is proud to be a Republican anymore, the Repukes I know (becides the pundits who have blogs and Im friendly with) are ASHAMED of their party, and have not uttered a word about politics since 2003..........
As Republican policies push us closer to a second great depression, you talk about the views of Mike Malloy?
Great way to deflect. All you goons are good at : deflection and projection.
Hows that $$ value looking today cons?
How much longer are you degenerates going to destroy our country?

I see MoPoop hasn't change. He's one of those on the left damaging the left along with his compadre, Hash.
I think these blithering idiots ought to be exposed and used to highlight the thinking of the left.
By PCD, at 13 November, 2007 10:43
..and so Jared wrote - paraphrasing:
- Mike Malloy has more listeners than Fox has viewers
- Savage is about 10 times worse than Malloy
- NO ONE wants to be a Republikan anymore
Jared's rabid case of BDS has really clouded his judgement here.
I fear for him when the RepubliKKKans win in '08.
Wait a sec. I think I really fear for the rest of us as this guy is borderline postal as it is.

When did MoPee change his name to jared?
By Unknown, at 13 November, 2007 16:45
Dear Fact-challenged Jared:
You never responded to my notations about America Right beating the performance of Air America on XM satellite radio.
However, you have done something new:
I had to click my computer's Page Dn button 4 times to reach the end of today's "thoughts" from you. Too many "thoughts" for me to handle at once: Please be a tad briefer next time.
By Chromium, at 13 November, 2007 18:13
Jared, you are missing an important fact. They are trying to overthrow our government, and you are trying to reason with them as if they were rational human beings, or even remotely human at all.
They are not. They are vile, parasitic insect life, and the pure fact of the matter is, detente is impossible, reconciliation is impossible, debate is impossible.
They have to be exterminated if the country is to be saved.
And most liberals are indeed frightened of the concept of extermination, of genocide. They do not take to the concept as easily as our neocon friends, who'll kill a million in a heartbeat without even thinking about it.
THIS is the disconnect. There are many "mainstream", DLC-type Democrats who have basically swallowed the pill and gone along with the "new world order" of the right.
They simply cannot handle doing to the neocons, what the neocons will do to all of us.
