FOX Scoops All With Jesse Jackson - Obama Meltdown Tape
SHAKEDOWN'S MELTDOWN
Jackson's Candid Obama Comments Have Politicos Buzzing
*** NEW: Was Jesse's Tirade A Political Stunt? ***
*** CONTINUING COVERAGE: Shares Of Radio Broadcast Firms Collapsing ***
Here's a scenario to make the left cringe: the FOX News Channel's ratings will be through the roof tonight, all thanks to Mr Shakedown himself, Jesse Jackson!
Yes, as a result of his bluntly candid (read: obscene) remarks about Barack Obama, apparently not meant for prime time, both the O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes should expect record viewership.
To that end, network insiders say a tight lid is being kept on this tape ahead of its airing tonight.
Though Jackson has already apologized for the rant, said to be so severe the networks are afraid to show part of it, it must reflect his real feelings about the Democratic nominee. It brings back to the surface previous concerns that some African- Americans are said to have about Obama's candidacy, even if that isn't usually stated in public.
Most of the coverage so far is of Jackson's apology, without an indication of what the longtime radical activist actually said in the first place to cause such an uproar. CNN takes that to the extreme, leaving the reader baffled as to the source of the controversy:
But there are indications from several other sources that Jackson said something to the effect of "cut his nuts out." We'll await the context of this kind of language, just in case it matters.
For O'Reilly, Hannity & Colmes, the most difficult task may be in keeping this tape from getting into the wrong hands ahead of tonight's programming.
As for Jackson, he has just blown a hole the size of a Chevy into the idea that the left, particularly African- Americans, are unified unconditionally behind Barack Obama. The damage he has caused to the Democrats could prove incalculable.
NEW: USA Today has more, as does Hot Air, Brian Stelter and Kathryn Jean Lopez
UPDATE: FOX aired surprisingly little of the conversation. Why that may be will be the subject of much speculation, but according to Drudge, Bill O'Reilly gives this explanation:

(CNN) — The Rev. Jesse Jackson issued an apology to Barack Obama Wednesday for criticizing the Illinois senator's recent comments directed toward some members of the black community.
According to Jackson, a Fox News microphone picked up comments he meant to deliver privately that seemed to disparage the presumptive Democratic nominee for appearing to lecture the black community on morality.
Jackson didn't elaborate on the context of his remarks, except to say he was trying to explain that Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters by recently conducting "moral" lectures at African-American churches.
"For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize," Jackson said in a statement issued to CNN. "My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment."
"My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility," Jackson also said.
But there are indications from several other sources that Jackson said something to the effect of "cut his nuts out." We'll await the context of this kind of language, just in case it matters.

O'REILLY: 'We held back some of this conversation... we didn't feel it had any relevance to the conversation this evening. We are not out to get Jesse Jackson. We are not out to embarrass him and we are not out to make him look bad. If we were, we would have used what we had, which is more damaging than what you have heard'...

I predict that Jackson will suffer more from this than Obama, not that I have any use for either. They're both products of the cesspool of Chicago politics.
Obama's chosen profession of Community Organizer is probably based on Jesse Jackson, but Obama has a Harvard Law Degree to back him up and he speaks without an accent.

I think this may help Obama. If he is seen as being attacked by Jackson, it will reinforce the "moderate" image he is currently cultivating.
And since 90+% of African Americans vote Democratic anyway, Obama hardly has to worry about losing their support.

Let me start by saying, I don't know enough about Jesse Jackson to pass judgement on him as an individual/man. But, I can say that his comments about Barack Obama was stupid and very unprofessional as a Rev. Now, I went to J. Jackson website and I saw where he is promoting hope and inspiration! Now, my question to the Rev. is, "If you had a problem with what Obama said and felt some kind a way, why not call him to get an understanding of where that man is coming from?" I'm saying that what Obama said was right, neither am I saying it was wrong. But, call the brother! When will the black on black crime STOP?

Nothing will happen, NOTHING.
Jackson is a liberal, the press is liberal, Fox will not play the entire tape and Obama doesn't have the stones to raise a stink.
So, nothing will happen.

The truth has come out.
Jesse Jackson is a racist!

By focusing first, last and always on government remediation and not at all on personal responsibility (the sine qua non of free men), JJ and his ilk have done far more to harm the African American community and culture than the KKK. It is the perverse mindset of JJ and all the other race baiters of his generation that has resulted in an African American community that murders people of other races at a rate 7Xs higher than African Americans are themselves attacked, and still cries that it is the real victim.
As a white boy who grew up on the south side of Chicago, I was physically assaulted because of the color of my skin on a regular basis. Not all of those assaults combined relieve me of responsibility for my decisions.
God bless Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson Jr. and the new generation of African American leaders.

Brain, you have to be stupid, this will help Obama, not harm him. Jesse Jackson is not a popular figure among anyone (except right wing talk show hosts, who are still living in in 1985). It will help Fox's ratings, sure... who doesn't like to hear a remark not meant for the publics ears; but it will only help his campaign. Do you really think black voters hang on Jesse Jackson's opinion? He did not even inspire the black voting base when he ran for president, when he was in his prime.
score another one for Obama. Cons, your going to have to find a video of Obama raping a 2 year old and munching on human flesh like a cannibal in order to stop the inevitable defeat of the Republican party.
In Brian's twisted world view, the whole black community and democratic voting base, hangs on every word of Jesse Jackson.
Brian, you hang on Rush's words as if it is the bible itself, stop projecting man.

Anon said: Brian believes "the whole black community and democratic voting base, hangs on every word of Jesse Jackson".
That was true a couple decades ago when Jackson ran the Rainbow Coalition.
The Black community has changed and now they are putting all their support toward the new Messiah, the chosen one named Obama.
90%+ state voting results certainly reflects the sheeple nature of the black community.

I'm so sick of the Machiavellianism of the Obama campaign operatives and their orchestrated "Good Cop - Bad Cop" routines! Bad Cop Reverend Wright-Good Cop Obama disowns him. Bad Cop Gen.Clark disses McCain-Good Cop Obama praises McCain and 'disagrees' with Clark. Bad Cop Jesse Jackson insults Obama - Good Cop Obama benefits from backlash (``It reinforces Obama's effort to present himself as an advocate of responsible personal behavior, a position that Republican candidates like to secure as uniquely their own,'' --reported on Drudge)
Doesn't anyone else get it ??!!!??!? The public is numb.

Which brings me to my next point--Jesse is upset because Barack (one of the few candidates we call by their first name) has been speaking in the black churches about fathers being absent from their children lives (something that needs to be said), and I am guessing since Jesse attempted to hide his baby maybe Barack stepped on his toes a little. You do have missing fathers in the black, white, and hispanic communities but I young black men are in need of roles models and Jesse you are not one of them....Jesse and Al please report back to a pulpit, I am sure there is a church somewhere that you can fool with your almost Little Richard like tantrums. I was the first....they dont give me enough credit.....they are copying me....atleast with Little Richard it is a legitimate arguement.....you have for years talked about how the black community needed a leader and I believe now you are upset because they have one and it is not you. Now you are being that typical crab in a barrel. Pretending in his face to be supportive, but all the while being a typical deveil in the disguise. I pray for you and yourself esteem.

some of you guys use the race card more than any black person I know...first of all when we react with hostility than it is look...look how violent they are...but when we react with dignity and decorum as barack did its he should not have he should have done this or that or we should have pass on him....He accepted the apology as she should have but that does not mean they are going to skip hand and hand into the sunset....he handled it well.....
