Rosie O'Donnell Justifies World Cup Anti-Americanism

RED CARD FOR STUPIDITY

Rosie & Friends: World Cup Anti-Americanism 'Understandable'

It's official: Rosie's on a roll. After pushing communism, claiming Obama has it tougher than FDR and defending anti-Semitic outbursts from Helen Thomas, it seemed hard to believe O'Donnell could outdo herself.

Yet during yesterday's satellite-based Rosie Radio, her producers (foolishly given live mics) led her right into another soon-to-be-classic lowlight:

O'DONNELL (21:22) (watching live in studio, after a U.S. goal is disallowed in the World Cup): Obviously, there's anti-American sentiment here at the game.

PETE MELE (staffer): Well, there should be.

O'DONNELL: ...Why should there be, Pete?...

MELE: I meant to say, it's understandable.

O'DONNELL: Yeah, it's understandable.

Is it truly "understandable" that Americans would be mistreated during the World Cup? How so?

An explanation would have been useful, but Rosie & Friends were quickly distracted by a producer's inability to identify the country containing Tripoli (it's Libya, for the record).

Remember, this is supposed to be a lifestyle program.

  • With a face and body like hers she has to hate.

  • I agree with Rosie completely. It's completely understandable that the world would look disfavorably on any nation that provided a viable forum for her blather-spewing pie hole.

  • Isn't it funny how Rosie and other idiots love to bash the U.S.A, but none will leave it. Why? Because they know it's the best country in the world and they would be fools to move any place else. However, I wish they would. Rosie...have you ever thought that maybe...just maybe, the U.S.A hates you?
