The Radio Equalizer: Brian Maloney

Friday Update

Weekend Updates

Sheehan Circus Exposed, Conservative Infiltrates Camp

Here's what to expect this weekend at the Radio Equalizer:

--- I'm filling in again tonight (Friday) for Talk Radio Network's Rusty Humphries, 9pm-mid EDT. We'll have updates on Move America Forward's "You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy" Tour and the rest of the day's news.

--- Michelle Malkin and I continue to work on the latest Air America scandal news. We're researching some major developments now. Watch here for updates.

--- Meanwhile, Michelle has a roundup of today's Air America scandal stories here. She reports Air America's Randi Rhodes did find her way to Crawford after all, what type of jet used to get there is unknown.

--- The New York Sun has an update on the search for former Air America head Evan Cohen. Don't know why Multicultural's lawyers would think he's in the Bay State, Michelle has clearly established that he's in Hawaii.

My problem with the story is that it places the focus on Cohen, when it needs to remain with the current management and board. That's where Air America's problems remain.

--- Liberal host Stephanie Miller claims Pat Robertson's comments didn't get enough media attention.

--- Monthly ratings are out for major cities, we'll be talking a look at the highlights.

--- Page Six says CNN has no business picking a fight with FOX over quality, when Larry King's busy asking Pamela Anderson about her implants.

--- Radio commentator Paul Harvey, 86, apparently confused Pat Robertson with Jerry Falwell, prompting ABC to issue an emergency "kill" order (ironic, isn't it?) to make sure stations didn't air the broadcast. Feder of Chicago has the story.

Check back soon for the latest.

Update: if you haven't yet seen the explosive KGO-7/ San Francisco story on the partisan political operatives financing Camp Casey, read it here. It proves the whole thing is nothing but a sham.

I jokingly asked Move America Forward's Melanie Morgan whether she stormed down the hall from her KSFO studios to shame the KGO folks into reporting the story. Morgan insisted, however, that it came into being on its own.

Speaking from Dallas, where Move America Forward's caravan stopped for the evening before the morning journey to Crawford, Morgan noted the ABC reporter behind the story is one of their most liberal.

We also heard from Curtis, a Texan who infiltrated Camp Casey, even attending security briefings. He talked about how well-organized Sheehan's supporters are, down to computerized schedules used by guards, to determine when celebs are arriving and departing.

He was even able to get a Saturday arrival time for Air America radio's Randi Rhodes, but we still don't know what type of jet will be taking her to Crawford.

Curtis found a way to blend into the crowd without being detected.

Morgan says Move America Forward's specific plans are confidential, because they don't want to allow the leftists time to undermine their actions. They intend to arrive in Crawford in late morning, with no idea just how many supporters will join them, since they're coming in from all over the country.

  • Wow!

I can't wait. I'm sure this next post is gonna blow the whole thing open! AAR and Al Franken must be sweating now.

This site is like a soap opera. One cliff hanger after another that just keep on coming but you never get to the payoff.

    Yawn.

  • I think they should find Cohen.

When they do, he won't be wanting to take the fall for this. He'll start singing like a canary.

Wonder if Frankenberry et al have already put the finger on him.

  • Mitchell you are so right.

    Baloney and Michelle have nothing.

Don’t need to believe me just go to the New York DOI (www.nyc.gov/doi) and ask them what the status is and you will find that they will send you a press release they put out June 24, 2005.

Now let me see today is August 26, 2005 so that means these guys are

  • How do I get Rusty Humphries in NW Washington?

By Blogger Josef, at 26 August, 2005 20:54

  • Interesting, Brian. Your critics care so much about your reporting on this "non-scandal" that they hang around making repetitious, unimaginative boilerplate comments several times a day. Imagine if stealing almost a million dollars from poor kids and disabled adults were actually a scandal! That would really keep the unfortunates busy.

By Blogger al fin, at 26 August, 2005 20:54

  • repetitious, unimaginative boilerplate

Well it seems yu've got that down pretty well yourself Al fin.

If there were anything in this post actually worth commenting on perhaps it would stimulate some original, imaginative particulars. But alas, no.

  • tom c: I think they should find Cohen.

Yes, I would like to find out how this supposed "brain cancer survivor" managed a board of directors seat at the National Cancer Center. And how he hasn't showed for any board meetings in a long while. What kind of human waste of flesh does Cohen think he is, pulling a fast one on something "supported entirely by the contributions of private American citizens. It is a non-profit, 50l(c)3 organization and does not receive any government funds. "

This is really sad considering how many cancer victims and families put their hope in a cure for various forms of cancer on state-of-the-art research.

And yes, this particular center does fund some deeply fundamental research on the causes and potential cures for cancer.
    http://www.nationalcancercenter.org/NCC_ben.htm

I would personally like to see him sing like a canary when they start asking about his "college diploma" and his miraculous recovery from brain cancer. That will be fun to watch him squirm. The amount of agony inflicted on hom will still be nothing compared to how much pain a leukemia victim has to suffer at the end of their life.

  • You know libs, if you think it's a non-story, fine. We're not telling you that you have to believe anything.

We aren't even telling you that you have to come to this site, and although it is open to anyone no one has forced you to be here. So why do you come? You remind me of an 11 year old who says obnoxious things for attention.

If you want to continue reading and commenting, fine, but I would think you might want to...grow up? You know act like an adult, not a pre or early teen?

The investigation and lawsuits will determine how this turns out. Until then Michelle and Brian will continue to investigate and blog on what they find out. And as you are yelling and screaming that this is a non-story, we will inwardly smile like we would when a cute 3 year old throws a temper tantrum hoping to get his way.

By Blogger Linn, at 26 August, 2005 23:07

  • Hey Brian, perhaps you and Michelle Malkin set up a mug shot of Cohen so people would know what he looks like. Just in case if he's spotted in a Denny's restaurant at 2 AM in the morning.

Everytime Cohen is mentioned, produce a mug shot of him. It might actually speed up the process of locating MIA Cohen.

So you are ok with taxpayer money going to fund private companies?
That is of no concern to you?

  • Sheehan Circus Exposed

The expose is that the antideath protesters are organized? Are you serious?

  • ...if you haven't yet seen the explosive KGO-7/ San Francisco story on the partisan political operatives financing Camp Casey, read it here. It proves the whole thing is nothing but a sham.

I agree. The whole story about Casey Sheehan dying in Iraq is nothing but a PR stunt; his mother's grief is just an act. She should be ashamed of herself for wondering why her son died when our president gave everybody assurances that the reasons for the war were indisputable. Our president said Iraq definitely had WMDs. Dick Cheney also said he was certain Iraq had WMDs. Colin Powell went to the UN and presented an open-and-shut case that Iraq had WMDs. For Sheehan to ask why her son died is just absurd.

We also heard from Curtis, a Texan who infiltrated Camp Casey, even attending security briefings. He talked about how well-organized Sheehan's supporters are, down to computerized schedules used by guards, to determine when celebs are arriving and departing.

Computerized schedules for guards?!! That's despicable. How are we supposed to run over those memorial crosses for the fallen if Sheehan has organized security? And that request for a restraining order against Larry Northern. Well, that's just shameful.

  • Hows this for another insipid Cindy Sheehan quote. I'm not sure how to post a link but it's from the Huffington blog.

How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed? I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these “continue the murder and mayhem” moms to see the light.

According to Cindy Sheehan Mothers who support the war are "murder and mayhem moms."

It's bad enough the woman pisses on her own sons grave now she disrespects other women who have lost their sons/daughters.

  • The NON-STORY STORY for Linn

You see a lot of links going here there and everywhere. But they don’t add anything new to the conversation, they don’t move the ball forward if that is the objective. It’s a rehashing over, and over again the same old material, stuff we knew back in late June. So two months later we know nothing we hadn’t heard back then.

Nothing I say will change your mind and I understand that. You believe what you believe as do I. We don’t KNOW THE FACTS in this case. The Attorney General will only say it’s and open and on going investigation, that’s all. On that I’m sure you and I would agree that is a good thing. New York DOI does the same thing just go to their WEB Site (I did) and ask them for status and you will get (in pdf format) an Official Press release dated in 24 June 2005.

Which turns out to be all that we KNOW factually. Everything else is speculation, conjecture, hunch, opinion, supposition, bullshit and wishful thinking. Especially the comments about Al Franken and the graphics. There should some sense of fairness as he has NOT been charged with anything.

You seem concerned that “Libs” as you call them come to this site. My question to you is why not. Why go to a site that tells the TRUTH it’s a lot more interesting here, besides maybe, just maybe someone from the right might have an open mind and listen to some common sense.

Name calling on either side of an issue does no good. I agree. But sometimes things that are said are beings said with “tongue-in-cheek”, sarcastically to make a point, (like my saying BABY to you). Yes there is some very real name calling but from my reading on this Blog it’s not that much.

Anyway in a country where we treasure free speech I don’t think we want everyone to have the same opinion on everything, except when it comes to the TRUTH.

Yes. I'm starting to wonder this myself. This is a nothing blog written by a nobody who covers nothing issues. The content is poorly researched as it relies almost entirely on FOX News and the Murdoch press. And the style is just a lacking as the substance. There's very little comment traffic compared to other blogs and the posts that do come in are just assinine chearleading of Baloney's BS. Other blogs provide much better sport.

  • "The content is poorly researched as it relies almost entirely on FOX News and the Murdoch press."

The link count on this post:

    Rusty Humphries - 1
    Move America Forward - 1
    Michelle Malkin - 1
    New York Sun - 1
    The Media Report - 1
    New York Post - 1
    Chicago Sun Times - 1
    ABC local - 1

Hey I didn't know ABC, the Sun-Times and the NY Sun was owned by Fox.

If other blogs provide better sport PhilM, go there.

    Until then stop lying.
