CONSERVATIVE?
HuffPo Mislabels Extremist Talk Host
Providing further evidence that Arianna Huffington's news and opinion site is increasingly diving off the deep end, a story placed there Wednesday topped them all for pure partisan political deception.
In a news update linking to a month- old article from WorldNetDaily, obscure and fringe extremist talk host Hal Turner was labeled a "conservative" by the Huffington Post.
Turner, long known for exceptionally alarming rhetoric and generally associated with rarely- heard shortwave radio programs, certainly has no role in any mainstream right- leaning movement and would likely be the first person to say so himself.
If Turner is a "conservative", then Stalin was a "liberal". When Bill O'Reilly talks about smear websites, this is exactly what he means.
And not only did the HuffPo dive into the sewer with this false association, but its readers fell for the trick hook, line and sinker:
By contrast, the original WorldNetDaily story from which the HuffPo excerpted was a real attempt by a conservative website to denounce Turner's extreme rhetoric, but Arianna's Fun House twisted it for their own partisan purposes.
The word "conservative" doesn't belong anywhere near the name Hal Turner, just as "credible" should never be used to describe the Huffington Post.

Conservative Radio Host Announces "Assassination" Schedule For Members Of Congress...
Posted January 3, 2007 08:51 AM
READ MORE: United States, Democratic Party, John Kennedy, Paul Wellstone, Tim Johnson
A radio talk-show entertainer whose earlier statements that he "may" have to assassinate members of Congress if the wrong people were elected Nov. 7 now has set a timetable for those killings.
In a statement on his website, Hal Turner noted that a newspaper has reported that a bill granting amnesty to illegal aliens is expected to be enacted in January, when the Democratic Party takes control of the U.S. Senate and House.
---
Before you laugh this off as another joke, just remember what they did to John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin L. King, and Paul Wellstone.
I just hope Tim Johnson has adequate security.

Hal Turner is the gooey s--t that grows between America's toes.
By: getoffmedz on January 03, 2007 at 09:48am
Isn't this an arrestable offence? No one should threaten anyone in government, and if they do, I don't care if they're on the left or the right, they need to be tried and convicted. A few lenghthy jail terms might get the message across.

You can't cry "fire" in a crowded movie house. You can't incite a riot. Free speech requires responsibility.
A--hole.

Can't a person be jailed for planning to assassinate the President?
Wouldn't that hold true for planning to assassinate members of Congress?
I'm serious here.

Fire the pervert.
Enough, already.

You can bet your ass that if it had been a liberal commentator, such as Al Franken, making such threatening comments, he would already be in Gitmo.
By: RubydubyinGA on January 03, 2007 at 10:06am
i just realized the biggest difference in the two parties. the extreme liberals want gov't to ensure the welfare of all people with gov't as nanny to protesct everyone from the unfairness of life. the extreme republicans want to kill everyone that doesn't agree with them and are willing to do that themselves.

Settle down, Ann Coulter routinely threatens people.
The Reich-wingers love to threaten.
Look at what they are having done to our loved-one's in Iraq? Threats, blackmail and hostage taking.
It's the Bush administration way!
Get used to it. Y'all elected these f--kers, TWICE!

Hal Turner is cut from the same cloth as you Maloney.
Turner was once a prominent activist in New Jersey's Republican Party. To area conservatives, he was best known by his moniker for call-ins to the Sean Hannity Show, "Hal from North Bergen." For years, Hannity offered his top-rated radio show as a regular forum for Turner's occasionally racist, always over-the-top rants. Hannity also chatted with him off-air, allegedly offering encouragement to Turner as he struggled to overcome a cocaine habit and homosexual leanings. Turner has boasted that Hannity once invited Turner and his son on to the set of Fox News's Hannity and Colmes. Today, Turner lurks on the fringes of the far right, spouting hate-laced tirades on his webcast radio show. Hannity, meanwhile, remains mum about his former alliance with the neo-Nazi, homing in instead on the supposed racism of black and Latino Democrats.

elmo,
Real paranoid today, aren't you.
You want nutroots left? Tune in to the Minister of Poop. All hate all the time.
Elmo, thank you for demonstrating what a hypocrite you are, and how crazy the left is. The Democrat are reaping the whirlwind and they don't like it.

I've had a chance to see Turner's "website." Some of his sayings are on the money about liberals, especially on the lack of a tough border security.
But, for him to blame race mixing for certain things IS BEYOND REPROACH! I know of a black woman who has married a white man--I see no problem with it myself.
I stand corrected, some parts of his site are down. But Turner does have an archive section--which takes you onto a site called The Wayback Machine--it's a site that has postings from sites that either no longer exist or have had a lack of activity.

You may have to do a little cut and paste here and there.
I just had to shake my head at some of the things he said. And I thought I said some crazy things. No offense to anyone but Turner makes Savage look well, weak.
Makes me wonder if Turner is his real name or did he get it from the controversial book "The Turner Diaries."
Oh, and elmonica, regarding Pawn Vanity--can you give us some proof, other than a link to that left-wing rag The Nation?

Again thanks for the attention PCD. Deep down in your black blood thirsty little heart, you agree with Turner. You take out your short wave radio and listen to every single word. Funny, 6 years ago I co-hosted a show for a few weeks on shortwave radio, the same station that Turner was on.

mmmmmm. Democrats are not the ones trying to pass a bill that gives illegals social security (as reported by Lou dobbs ,my favorite Republican ) that would be the Bush administration. Note the silence to be followed by Patriot world after confronted with the facts.

Yeah, who ceded the fix for this illegal immigration catastrophe, CAUSED by the neocons, to the same ineffective, cynical wackjob righties that made it all happen?
You loony-tune Reaganites WANTED cheap labor...now look at my town!
Take responsibility for your own psychotic schemes and face the facts...you did this to us!
Not to mention the illegals...
By hashfanatic, at 04 January, 2007 10:26
Patriot World (g-g-g-gur-gle) is just showing how closely aligned his ideologies (if one can call them that) are to Hal Turner's guiding principles.
WW$G$? (What would $chlu$$el-Gelt say?)
GASP!!!
You neocons have NO idea what you are all getting yourselves (and the country) into, when you play with fire....
But what else is new?

Have you listened to my show? I hope you do, you just might learn something. The only hate we display is for freaks like Michael Savage, and the murderous Bush administration, not all Republicans. He hate their ideas and policies, not them personally. As a compassionate "liberals" I pity the insane!!!
Note again the silence when freaks like Coulter displays REAL HATE to a huge national audience.

Minister of Poop,
I don't have a shortwave set. Get that straight.
Such a hypocrite, you advertise your hate on your website, then justify it here, yet you condemn others disagreement with you as hate. What a sick puppy.

Minister of Poop,
Until you change it, your site reeks of hate. Your partner shouting at the people you disagree with is not love. To trumpet it as a drawing card to your show is demented, MoP.
By PCD, at 04 January, 2007 14:14
The difference is that it is right and good to hate evil.
PCD, you are evil.
The neocons are denying their roots in the white supremacist movement and Zionist terrorist cells because they can no longer get any mileage out of it (like the failed belief system of conservatism itself).
Hal Turner's program is simply a blueprint for what neocons have in store for America.
Fortunately, America wants no part of them.
