Air America Radio Marketing Campaign, San Diego

BUSH-BASHERS WELCOME?

San Diego Billboard Reveals New Campaign

While Radio Equalizer reader Joe swears this billboard is now positioned on San Diego's Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, on April Fools Day, it's best to have one's guard up a bit.

With that consideration, here's the big question: does Air America Radio really see "Bush- bashing" as the key to its future? Isn't that exactly what held it back in the past?

At this point, however, perhaps the real message is simply to let people know liberal talk radio still exists. Interestingly, this billboard makes no reference to Air America itself.

As many thought it vanished after the network declared bankruptcy, that in itself could prove quite a challenge.

ELSEWHERE: BoreAmerica celebrates Air America's third birthday!

ALSO: Looks like Keith's in hot water again, plenty of updates at Olbermann Watch.

  • Funny, that looks like a Clear Channel/KLSD billboard. Why would Air America be on it?

You do know the difference, don't you?

And what's so wrong with Bush-bashing? I swear you crybaby conservatives get your undies in a knot whenever your boy king gets dissed. Grow a thicker skin and stop whining so much!

  • In case pmain ha nt noticed, America has rejected the flunkie in a flight suit.

it’s just that your side of politics rarely, if ever, tend to argue w/ little things like logic or facts.

Hysterical!! At 30% America gets whatyour side is all about, lies, propaganda and deception. You are irrelevant, the right is irrelevant and will be for the next 40 years.

The truth about this admiistration is that they are a failure. At 30% Ameria gets it, Reality is here, America rejected the spoiled rich freak in a flight suit.

    You are irrelevant.
Ameria Bush bashes in unison to the key of 70% of this country.

  • It is incredible how this administration continues to operate as a monarchy, ignoring the people's will.

Why don't you knuckledraggers on the right start referring to Bush as King George instead of Dear and Wise leader?

  • Zut alors!

Comment-est-ce que les medias continuent à moquer notre président Bush?

Je ne peux pas le comprendre!

But I do have one big question. Didn't Bush promise that we were going to go to Mars a couple State-of-the-Union adresses ago?
I mean, what's become of that? I was hoping that I and my dog would go there! I wanted her to whelp the first space puppies ever!

I think our president has let us down!

But still I love him so. I still remember how his codpiece so bulged on that memorable day when he pronounced mission accomplished.

Even I wanted to lick his balls then!

But, Brian, granted that we're not going to Mars, that desire has diminished in me. It's your task now to do that.

Zut alor, ma baguette est prête! Il faut l'emener!

  • MOP you need to update your numbers. As bad as his numbers are (not 30%) the Democratic Party’s are worse so does that make them irrelevant for 80 years. Hear are the latest numbers I found March 1, 2007

39 percent approve of the presidents handling of the economy.
39 percent approve of the presidents handling of foreign policy.
37 percent approve of the presidents handling of the war in Iraq.
40% prefer the GOP's handling terrorism while 35% prefer the Democratic Party's

  • Just for the record I do not think he is doing a good job over all. BUT I still would not vote for a liberal. I can’t afford to.

  • Well what can you expect of California? I mean this is a state that panders to pervs, wetbacks, and tax increases...

The state is rife with fools who believe in the myth of global warming and political correctness...

Funny how the libtards, especially in California can find all sorts of problems they alledge are the fault of George W as the kool aid drinker pf1 notes in his/her pathetic posting...

There is one thing that's painfully obvious libtards like pf1 have a zero grasp of basic economics and also reality...

Imagine that, reading push polls and thinking that's reality... Absolutely hilarious...

Meanwhile these same libtards who's collective grap of reality is less than tenuous tend to gloss over or just ignore the painfully obvious: in the five and a half years since September 11, 2001, there have been roughly 40,000 killings by gangs and gang members in this United States of America, mostly in the African-American and Hispanic sections of large cities. Huge swaths of major American cities, especially my home city of Los Angeles, are "no-go" zones for law-abiding people from outside the neighborhoods and even police go into them reluctantly. The innocent women, children, old folks and non-gansgsta men in the communities are living in a nonstop reign of terror...

  • Elmo,

We on the right are not simple minded juveniles like you. We have a modicom of manners that the left in general lacks. It is President George Bush to you, elected by a majority of the voters.

  • We in California may have our problems but are blissfully free of most of the 30% REDNECKS who still drag their knuckles behind the little shriveling retarded chimp liar you morbidly obese hicks call Presnit.

Take your double wide barcolounger (new staple of the American South) and shove it up your waddling tubbutts. You aren't welcome in California, which is half of this country's GNP and the last remaining cool in America.

  • "bashing" is what extremist partisans do - why is this billboard news?

And, listening/reading extremist partisan crap is entertaining - sometimes, anyway...

So - this hubbub you're trying to create over this billboard, and the fact that you're trying to lay it at the feet of AAR (notice AAR is in no way, shape or form mentioned on the billboard) is just a bunch of crap.

However - you want a story? Drudge posted (and silently and mysteriously) dropped a fake story about Michael Ware - there's your media story.

Go Get Im, Brian! Take the heat for Malkin, who's Hot Air site tried to fan these flames too.

  • "Just for the record I do not think he is doing a good job over all. BUT I still would not vote for a liberal. I can’t afford to."

pf1, glad you qualified that. I can no longer trust Bush--he has become like Gerald Ford--and are we paying for it.

By the way, Tom Tancredo made his official announcement he is running for President. His announcement came on WHO Radio in Des Moines, Iowa. Interestingly enough, a man who would become President, worked at WHO--Ronald Reagan. Maybe that's why Tancredo chose that station instead of say KOA in his native Denver, CO.
