Lefties Unhappy Glenn Beck Rally 'Wasn't Racist'
HATELESS 'HATE-FEST'
Rally Didn't Provide Fodder, But Libs Attack Anyway
What happens when our lefty friends fail to find fault with a major conservative event? Rather than commend the right for utilizing a constructive tone, "progressives" simply seek another way to go negative.
During a libtalk interview this morning, that's exactly how Eric Burns of Media Matters for America handled Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally held Saturday in Washington.
Burns could have scored an elusive bit of non-partisan credibility by praising the event's positive message, but instead chose to keep the smear machine cranked up to "11".
From today's Stephanie Miller Show:
Clearly, Restoring Honor didn't go as planned for our "progressive" friends. But why not sit this one out and wait for a future battle that might be worth fighting? The left clearly doesn't know when to keep its collective mouth shut.

ERIC BURNS, MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA (4:18): I think the rally on TV that we saw this Saturday may have been the only instance where there wasn’t something racist going on with the Tea Party and Glenn Beck at least from what I’ve seen. You know obviously we’ve seen there was the last year and a half rallies with you know with really horrific racist hate filled violent inducing signs. A lot of violent rhetoric, a lot of racist rhetoric. Glenn Beck calling the President a racist himself on Fox News. This goes back quite a ways.
I’ve said for a while that I thought this rally I mean who knows looking back at it what it definitely was, but what I thought they were trying to do was essentially rebrand Glenn Beck and the Tea Party you know as kind of as the new face to the Conservative movement because they perhaps realized that they had the hate and the racism had just really taken really center stage with how people viewed them.
BURNS (8:20): Of course you guys realize that all of our lives have changed as a result of this event.
Clearly, Restoring Honor didn't go as planned for our "progressive" friends. But why not sit this one out and wait for a future battle that might be worth fighting? The left clearly doesn't know when to keep its collective mouth shut.

What's more interesting from our perspective about this Glenn Beck phenomenon is that "The Folks in Control," however one might characterize them in terms of race, status, class, wealth, geographic location or whatever, allowed our current situation to develop over arguably the last 50 - 100 years, and now there are complaints by a vocal group of concerned citizens.
Is it possible, as postulated by some, that the liberal, conservative, progressive, corporate and banking interests, and libertarian POWER FORCES in our society are laughing all the way to the bank, and that we minions with little money and power (the members of the Institute for Applied Common Sense included) are the ones complaining? And that because of new technological advances in communication and the power of the Internet, the voice of the minions is now being disseminated with greater force, essentially saying, "Stop! Enough is enough!"?
Is this arguably populist movement somewhat similar to the one led by "the Great Commoner," William Jennings Bryan at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th Centuries?
Is what we are experiencing simply the most vocal expression of the perhaps 80% of we citizens at the bottom of the heap?

The next time Eric Burns of MediaMatters & Stephanie Miller matter in the grand scheme of things will be the first time. They are part of a failing political "news & information" machine trying to prob up a failing political idiology & the President who is pushing the failed idiology. It is time to bury MMFA, Miller, & the politics of failure. Beck's 8/28 rally is just part of the process, & we shall march forward to make that happen.
