Just when Obama's inner circle thought the birth certificate issue had faded, along comes Donald Trump to raise unanswered questions all over again.

Is the left ticked? You bet- they're furious, unleashing a collective tirade against The Donald in recent days. While trying to keep his cool, Reverend Al Sharpton attacked Trump's motives as racist during his syndicated radio program earlier this week.

Rather than face obvious criticism for playing the race card, Sharpton utilized a particularly squirrelly approach, hiding behind the words of white MSNBC talker Rachel Maddow:




AL SHARPTON (42:46): Donald Trump, who is speculating very publicly about running for president, has in the last seven days revised this whole issue of President Obama’s birth certificate, whether or not he was actually born in the United States. It has been clearly said he has been born in Hawaii, which is a United State [sic]. And went out yesterday saying he could produce his birth certificate in an hour and produced some documentation which ended up being not his birth certificate.

Regardless of all of that Rachel Maddow raised and issue that I think bears some discussion last night on msnbc about is the basis of this really race based? The fact of the matter is the president had an African father and a white mother and why I mean is the subtlety around his birth date really raising race questions and legitimate questions that have something to do with race is her point?


Yes, Al, it's merely Rachel's point, nothing you probably cooked up a week before it ever occurred to her.

Does the guy who wrote the book on creating racial flaps out of thin air really believe he's fooling anybody here?

  • Trump posted his original birth certificate online. I think he showed it first to ABC News. It is the long form, most likely a certified copy. It leaves no doubt about where he was born, all the details are there. It also showed his mother was born in Scotland and that raised questions as to whether she was an American citizen when he was born. Yes she was. Her citizenship is documented. This probably will go way over Sharpton's head as he doesn't like it when facts get in his way. Sorry Sharpton, this has nothing to do with racism, it's about the law and our Constitution. Remember those little troubling issues?

  • Al Sharpton calling anybody else a racist is a joke. Sharpton is the biggest racist on earth. That fat pig liar is a good example of a typical democrat, if you disagree with Obama or want to see his birth certificate as a condition of his holding the highest office in the land you're a racist. The facts are Obama has an obligation to the American people to prove he qualifies to hold the position he was elected to. He should show the original BC without comment, it's his duty and the American People want to see his Birth Certificate.

  • Mr. Sharpton and Ms. Maddow both forgot that President Obama was born to a FOREIGN CITIZEN who just happened to be African and an American citizen who was UNDER the legal age of adulthood at the time of the birth. Mr. Sharpton keeps his "race card" in his back pocket so he can readily whip it out and wave it under everyone's noses. His card is laminated because it's heavily used.

Anonymous, U got it right, it is about his fathers citizenship (british as kenya was then a UK colony) and mom underage, could not pass on the citizenship even if he actually was born in Hawaii.   • Asking for proof of a persons claims makes someone a racist just because the questioner is of a different race than the questioned? Hmmm. How about, accusing the questioner of racism is the act of a racist.

  • As we all know, those on the left use the race card every time they are criticized, because they don't have a real argument. I've heard the term "racist" used so many times in the last 2-3 years, that it doesn't even mean anything to me anymore. They've completed diluted the word, in my opinion.   • Let's assume for a moment Obama was indeed born at the hospital he claimed. My immediate question turns to, why did Truth Check and the E N T I R E media claim Fact Check handled and photoed the "Original" when Fact Check's own photos prove it was a "True Copy" actually printed in June 6, 2007?
